Research On The Residential Neighborhood Design Of Open Community Based On The Theory Of New Urbanism

In the past few decades,a large number of closed residential areas in China have met the growing housing needs of urban residents to a certain extent,but also brought about some problems,such as closed space structure,lack of public communication,weakening neighborhood relations,uneven distribution of social resources,lack of vitality of blocks and so on.In 2016,the central city working conference issued a document to promote the block system,proposing that closed residential areas should not be built in principle.The new version of urban residential district planning and design standard implemented in December 2018 takes "residential neighborhood" as the basic residential unit of residential building combination,and more emphasizes the openness of residential district,the integration with urban environment,the balance of community supporting,and the importance of residents’ public communication and neighborhood relationship.The direction of policies and standards indicates that the planning and design mode of residential buildings in China will change in the past decades.Based on the above background,this paper takes the "New Urbanism" theory as the research basis and theoretical guidance,starting from the public interests of community residents,pays attention to the urban environment,emphasizes the importance of public space and the relevance between the residential neighborhood and its adjacent streets,in order to try to solve the problems of unreasonable urban residential structure,urban traffic congestion,urban traffic congestion,and so on This paper aims to study the current situation of the increasingly alienated neighborhood.First of all,through the relevant theoretical study and research,master the formation,development,essential characteristics and relationship between New Urbanism and open community;Secondly,through literature reading and field research,we further sort out,summarize the current situation of residential areas in China and analyze the reasons.Then,by using the methods of case analysis and comparative study,we understand and summarize the residential structure forms related to the "New Urbanism Theory" and "open community" at home and abroad,analyze the existing common problems and design points that can be used for reference,and then use professional knowledge and skills to analyze the problems from the scale of residential land,traffic organization,structural form,public space layout This paper explores the design strategy and key points of residential neighborhood,the basic organization unit of urban new open residential area,which is suitable for the current development and living needs of our country under the concept of open community.Finally,taking the actual residential project in Hohhot as an example,the paper applies the strategies of walking oriented,appropriate scale,heterogeneous crowd,neighborhood harmony and safety design to the practical project,and combines theory with practice to create an environment conducive to strengthening public communication,promoting neighborhood harmony,stimulating the vitality of the block To meet the living needs of different residents,adapt to the future urban development,suitable for residential space environment.It provides theoretical and practical research results for the design of residential blocks under the open community mode.
