Abstract/Summary:
Facing the rapid development trend of big data,artificial intelligence,cloud computing and other technological fields in the intelligent society,the realistic demand of the new industrial transformation represented by "new infrastructureconstruction",and the long-term and profound socio-economic situation brought by COVID-19.As an important fulcrum of the transformation from a big country of industrial education to a powerful country of industrial education,the construction of comprehensive research university is important to explore the development path of engineering education with Chinese characteristics and at the world level.However,a systematic review of the existing research found that the current construction of new engineering education lacks a systematic guidance framework,the theoretical system needs to be updated urgently,and the classification guidelines have not yet been truly implemented.Therefore,this research focuses on comprehensive research universities and analyzes the influence mechanism of differentdevelopment paths of new engineering education,which is of great significance for guiding the selection of new engineering paths at all levels and types of universities and promoting a new round of new engineering education construction to increase quality and efficiency.Focusing on the core issue of "how does the new engineering construction mechanism function to generate effective development path of new engineering education",first of all,this research uses qualitative research methods to scientifically excavate the construction mechanism of new engineering education in comprehensive research universities.With the help of NVivo.12 software,this research conducted in-depth research on 41 documents that can reflect the authority and typicality of the research theme of new engineering education construction,and extracted the knowledge creation mechanism,knowledge function mechanism,model iteration mechanism,and resource guarantee mechanism.6 construction mechanisms,interest coordination mechanism and external motivation mechanism,and constructed a theoretical model of path research,namely the KOE model;secondly,this study studied 30 construction cases based on the first batch of new engineering research and practical projects in comprehensive research universities,and introduced fsQCA focuses on the development path of new engineering education in comprehensive research universities.Through calculation and analysis of single condition variables,it is found that the knowledge function mechanism,resource guarantee mechanism and external motivation mechanism are necessary conditions for the construction of new engineering education in comprehensive research universities.Through the combination analysis of condition variables,three development paths of new engineering education incomprehensive research universities are obtained,Which are the knowledge nested path,the network traction type and the double helix drive path;finally,the study uses a number of typical cases of the construction of new engineering education in comprehensive research universities to conduct a confirmatory analysis of the three development paths,and summarize the different paths.The construction foundation,constituent elements and operation mode,and proposed countermeasures and suggestions for the construction of new engineering education in comprehensive research universities from the perspectives of government and universities.The main contribution of this research is that based on the grounded theory,the mechanism of new engineering construction is deeply explored,and the theoretical framework of path research is constructed,to a certain extent,it broadens and deepens the interpretation level of the new engineering education path research in the phenomenon of technology application.At the same time,by strengthening the identification of the main attributes of the construction of new engineering education and the analysis of the characteristics of the construction context,it summarizes the development paths of new engineering education of different types of comprehensive research universities,so as to provide a certain reference for classification and hierarchical promotion of the construction of new engineering education.
