| It takes the elderly with crura dysfunction in home-based care as the research objects,aiming at their actual needs related to travel in community,to explore innovative mobility-aid service and products to improve their living standards.Through literature research,it finds that the incidence rate of crura dysfunction is one of the highest among senile diseases.Crura dysfunction is high incidence,progressive and sever,which significantly reduce living standards of the elderly.Through the literature study of domestic and foreign elderly care services,it finds that under the background of aging society,community-based care is the mainstream of China’s future elderly care services.Therefore,the research object is the elderly with crura dysfunction in the community.Through observation and questionnaire survey,more than 200 elderly people with different degrees of crura dysfunction and healthy elderly in 11 typical communities in Beijing were investigated.After collecting the data of their daily life,travel distance and frequency,living space and environment,it interviews community workers to learn about the relevant services and policy.After having acquaintance with the typical community-based care service,it analyzes the key pain points of community service for the elderly with crura dysfunction.Methods of ergonomics and geography such as ADL,instrumental ADL,and Living-space scales were used to evaluate the survey data,finds that the travel range of the elderly with crura dysfunction is significantly reduced compared with the healthy ones.The elderly with crura dysfunction have lower utilization frequency of community services,less outdoor activities and interpersonal communication,difficult to participate in community life,and lower quality of life than the healthy elderly.Therefore,mobilityaid service and product is the key node for the elderly with crura dysfunction to receive community-based care services.According to the physical,psychological,economic and family structure of the elderly with crura dysfunction,this research explores the safety requirements,social needs,psychological needs,affordable needs and other elements in community travel of them,then draws typical user personas.For the pain points of elderly community travel,it uses stakeholder analysis,user journey map and service blueprint,aiming at meet the requirements of the elderly travel through the community.Using the manual wheelchair owned by the elderly with crura dysfunction,it constructs a sharing self-support mobility-aid service as a connection to the various community-based care service for them.Through comparing innovative mobility-aid products in China and abroad,combining community environment and user requirements,using design engineering methods,it brings up a sharing mobility-aid product which could be attached to a manual wheelchair to provide a dynamic.It verifies the rationality and feasibility of the design by experiments.The design can not only meet the needs of the elderly for travelling through the community,but also avoid the physical and financial burdens of using traditional mobility-aid products and service.It makes the elderly with slight crura dysfunction integrate into the community through the service and product,which may expand their activity scope and life radius,and improve the quality of their elderly life. |
