Study On Corporate Social Responsibility Index System Construction Cf Chinese Listed Power Generation Enterprises Based On ESG

The power industry is the important economic development pillar in China,which has been rapidly developed in the past ten years.In which,the power generation enterprises especially the thermal power enterprise are still the major power supply source in China that support the development of our country.In recent years,along with the growing demands of users,the power generation enterprises in our country are also enhancing the installed capacity for the thermal power generating unit year by year.The installed capacity for the thermal power in our country is 1147.54 million kilowatts until 2018,and it is predicted that the installed capacity for the thermal power in our country will be increased to 1309.00 million kilowatts in 2022.At the same time,the power generation industry in our country also has become the major emission source for the greenhouse gases.The climate warming caused by the increase of greenhouse gases also enables the environment in our country to face with the challenges.ESG refers to the Environment,Society and Corporate Governance that has been progressively become the new wind indicator for measuring the listed enterprises to undertake their corporate social responsibility.ESG concept has won the great support worldwide,especially in the European and American countries the developed for ESG index system has been significantly mature.However,currently China doesn’t improve ESG index system yet especially ESG index system that is appropriate to the state-owned countries,which also results that the international investors will prioritize to consider the private enterprises when performing the investment to the enterprises in our country and it is not beneficial to the financing of state-owned enterprises.At present along with the thermal power enterprises with high energy consumption and high pollution are undertaking the support task to the national economic development,how to cope with the various changes of international status,construct the feasible social responsibility index system of power generation enterprises with the combination of requirements for the ESG index,reduce the operation risks and realize the sustainable development has become imperative.In order to improve the corporate social responsibility index system of power generation enterprises in our country,promote the CSR index standardization of power generation enterprises,this paper is based on the prospective of corporate social responsibility,applies the methods e.g.literature analysis method,case research method and comparison analysis method etc.,on the basis of studying the issues including the relevant concepts and theories of enterprise social responsibility,the corporate social responsibility evaluation and index system etc.,constructs the corporate social responsibility evaluation index system appropriate to the power generation enterprises of our country based on ESG.First of all,it performs the relevant literature study for the evaluation index systems of corporate social responsibility at home and abroad.It illustrates the influential theories in the field of corporate social responsibility research:stakeholder theory,triple bottom line theory and sustainable development theory;as well as it carries out the brief description to the international standard ISO26000 of corporate social responsibility and GRI standards.Secondly,it analyzes ESG corporate social responsibility system,and establishes the corporate social responsibility grading index system for the power generation enterprises in our country based on this.Finally,it selects China Huadian Corporation as the analysis sample,and constructs the corporate social responsibility index system appropriate to the power generation enterprises in our country based on ESG.
