| In the 1990 s,China and the EU carried out diversified and institutionalized cooperation in many fields. The consensus in many fields between China and the EU laid the foundation for comprehensive cooperation between the two main bodies. The two sides have broad commonalities in the field of green policies and have become good green development partners.China and the EU have successively carried out corresponding cooperation projects in protecting biodiversity and promoting sustainable production and consumption. The two sides have integrated environmental cooperation into energy cooperation, industrial cooperation, transportation cooperation, agricultural cooperation and other fields, and carried out cooperation in renewable energy and clean technology. These have laid a good foundation for future China EU green cooperation and provided broad space for trade cooperation between China and the EU.Through a comprehensive review of the existing literature on China EU green development policies, areas covered by green development and China EU trade cooperation, this paper finds that there is great potential for China EU green cooperation in the four fields of energy, industry, transportation and agriculture. In view of this,China EU bilateral trade shows a trend of green and sustainable development.China and the EU have a lot of consensus on green policies in the four major fields of energy, industry, transportation and agriculture. The two sides have provided a solid foundation for cooperation in developing green trade. In particular,China and the EU have shown strong potential for trade cooperation in the field of energy. Therefore, this paper takes energy trade as an example to conduct empirical analysis to verify the impact of China-EU green policies on China-EU energy trade.Using panel data from 2007 to 2020 between China and 15 EU countries, the weight of energy imports and exports, per capita GDP,Six indicators of population, distance between countries,non-renewable energy consumption, and renewable energy consumption are used as explanatory variables, and whether carbon tax is levied as a control variable affected by the policy,to explore the impact of China-EU green policies on energy trade. The empirical results show that when the overall growth trend of China EU energy trade volume occurs, the consumption of non-green energy trade decreases, the consumption of green energy will increase, and the trade volume of green energy will increase, indicating that China and the EU have great cooperation potential in the field of green energy trade after the green policy is put forward.Furthermore, the EU-15 countries are further divided according to the level of income, and the test and analysis based on income heterogeneity are carried out.It is found that the regression results of higher-income countries are basically consistent with the regression results of the whole sample, while compared with higherincome countries, some regression results are not significant due to more factors such as promoting economic development and improving people’s living standards,According to the empirical analysis results,it calculates and quantifies the potential of China EU energy trade, which shows that China and the EU can better promote the development of China EU green energy trade after putting forward green policies. Finally, starting from the potential of energy trade cooperation, this paper expands to the fields of industry, transportation and agriculture, puts forward suggestions for the future green trade cooperation between China and the EU in four fields. |
