| The ASEAN-China-ROK(10+3)Leaders’ Meeting was first held in Kuala Lumpur in 1997,symbolizing the formal launch of the ASEAN-China-ROK cooperation process. In the past 25 years, the ASEAN 10+3 cooperation mechanism has become a major platform for promoting cooperation in East Asia.During this period, the 10+3 cooperation dialogue mechanism, led by regular meetings of leaders, has been continuously developed and improved, and the depth and breadth of cooperation within the mechanism has been greatly enhanced.Through the "10+3" cooperation mechanism,East Asian countries have engaged in extensive cooperation in economic, political and cultural fields. On the economic front, trade and investment cooperation among member countries has been strengthened, promoting the process of economic integration in the region. On the political front, member countries have maintained close coordination and cooperation in regional and international affairs. In the cultural field, cultural and humanistic exchanges among member countries have been strengthened, promoting mutual understanding and friendship. In addition, the "10+3"cooperation now covers a wide range of areas, including trade and economic, monetary and financial, health, energy, transportation, food security, education, social and cultural. This paper firstly analyzes the influence mechanism of the establishment of ASEAN"10+3" region on the trade effect of Chinese chemical products from the theoretical perspective, starting from graphical analysis and model analysis, and concludes that the establishment of"10+3" FTA trade can generate trade creation and trade transfer effects, and reduce the trade diversion effect of Chinese producers. The analysis shows that the establishment of the "10+3"FTA can generate trade creation and trade transfer effects, reduce the cost of Chinese producers, gain price advantages and generate welfare effects.Secondly, the qualitative analysis firstly introduces the cooperation history of the 10+3 from the beginning to the present, and gives an overview of the preferential policies for trade in goods based on the trade agreements between China,Japan,Korea and ASEAN.Secondly,we collected chemical products trade data from the world level,China level and" 10+3" regional level, and summarized the total trade of chemical products, trade structure and regional distribution characteristics of trade. Then, empirical analysis is conducted to collect and organize the panel data of China’s import and export trade of chemical products to various countries from 1994 to 2020,and construct the PSM-DID model to investigate the trade effects of" 10+3" cooperation on Chinese chemical products. This paper focuses on the import and export trade of Chinese chemical products in the context of ASEAN "10+3",and aims to explore the impact of the free trade area on China’s economy and chemical products through the economic analysis between China and the FTA member countries. The results of the study found that since the establishment of the "10+3"FTA,China’s chemical trade imports and exports have been increasing, and the increase of chemical trade volume comes from the trade creation effect and trade transfer effect of the"10+3" region, and the trade creation effect is more significant. The impact of trade creation effect is more significant. In addition, according to the heterogeneity analysis, the establishment of the "10+3" FTA has a more significant impact on the chemical trade of developing countries than that of developed countries, and the phased tariff policy adjustment of chemical products by the countries in the region according to the goods trade agreement has effectively promoted the chemical trade between China and the countries in the region. Finally, based on the analysis of the real situation and chemical products trade in the ASEAN "10+3" FTA,this paper puts forward some policy recommendations to help China better participate in regional economic integration and promote the sustainable development of chemical products trade between China and ASEAN" 10+3" FTA.The paper puts forward some policy recommendations to help China better participate in the regional economic integration and promote the sustainable development of chemical products trade in the FTA between China and ASEAN.It is hoped that these suggestions can provide reference and reference for the development of ASEAN "10+3" FTA,and also provide effective experience and inspiration for China in the formulation and implementation of other regional economic integration strategies. |
