China’s urbanization caused serious pollution problems, but the accumulation of production factors in the city has also led to a significant agglomeration effect.Industrial spatial agglomeration has gradually become the foundation of region development. For what, enterprises are attracted by the development environment of the city.By taking the use of city’s advantages in policy welfare, resource endowments and infrastructure, the spatial agglomeration of industries in the city is initially formed. The effect of industrial agglomeration was initially manifested as economies of scale and make the enterprise benefit from it.thus promoted the further transfer of various production factors to cities. What’s more,it will also promote knowledge spillover effects and form a mature industrial chain in the region. This interaction between region and industry will expands aggregate demand and create a virtuous circle, which will further promote urban development together. In addition.under the agglomeration of industries, cities gradually reflect the characteristics of internalized agglomeration, that is,the formation of megalopolis. The rapid development of megalopolis economy provides better infrastructure and market conditions with closely relationship between neighboring cities, and the functional space division between cities in megalopolis has not only brought the diversification of production in central cities, but also promoted the speed of industrialization and production specialization in ordinary cities. Therefore, this thesis focuses on the industrial agglomeration effects from a spatial perspective and the promotion of the agglomeration effect by the functional space division in megalopolis.Through the analysis of different levels of functional space division among three megalopolises.this thesis provides empirical support for the green development of cities and the functional division within megalopolises. In the empirical research, this thesis uses spatial econometric method and determine the heterogeneity of the agglomeration effects under the intuitive comparative analysis method. What’s more,we find the agglomeration effects will be improved in megalopolises, which is highly related to the level of functional spatial division.Among the three megalopolises, the industrial agglomeration status in Pearl River Delta megalopolis has a good demonstration effect on others. Finally, based in these.we put forward corresponding policy recommendations:(1)Insist to the"two-wheel drive" policy of industry improvement, relax rampart that hinder economic activity and population gathering in metropolitan, and optimize the degree of factor distribution.(2)Local governments should focus on developing industries that adapt to local advantages, and implement specialization or diversified agglomeration patterns that are compatible with the local economic structure.(3)Carry out overall planning of the inner space in megalopolis and scientifically define urban positioning and spatial function.(4)Guided by their resource endowment and energy efficiency improvement needs, cities of different levels cohesion in the division of functions. |
