| Since the reforming and opening up,China’s rural economic development has advanced by leaps and bounds, and the living standards of farmers have improved significantly. However, due to the long-term implementation of the growth-oriented agricultural growth mode in China, the problem of excessive application of pesticides and fertilizers has appeared in rural areas, causing great damage to the ecological environment. Therefore,Agricultural green development has become the key to rural development.Promoting the green development of agriculture is inseparable from the green production behavior of farmers. As a micro-management entity of agricultural production, whether farmers’ production behaviors can be “green” is undoubtedly the key to promoting the green development of agriculture, and the factors affecting the green production behavior of farmers.Influencing factors are also the basis for studying the green production behavior of farmers.Based on the reality of China’s agricultural development, this paper uses field research data to analyze the influencing factors of farmers’ green production behavior, and focuses on the following key questions: What factors affect the green production behavior of farmers? What is the hierarchy of these factors? Are there any differences in the influencing factors of different farmers? What are the differences and similarities in the hierarchical structure of influencing factors among different farmers?Based on the previous research results and the field research data, this paper systematically analyzes the factors and hierarchical structure of farmers’ green production behavior and the factors and hierarchical structure of different scales.Specifically, this paper uses the members of the research team to conduct household surveys on grain production of grain-growing households in five major grain-producing provinces of Henan,Shandong,Anhui,Hebei, and Jiangsu in the second half of 2018,and adopts multi-stage stratified sampling.A total of 1,142 households were selected by a combination of random sampling, and they were divided into small farmers and large-scale farmers according to the scale of 10 mus.In the processing of data, this paper firstly used the simple mean difference test to descriptive statistics of the overall sample of farmers, small farmers,large-scale farmers.Afterwards, this paper uses Probit model to analyze the factors affecting the green production behavior of the overall sample farmers, small farmers and large-scale farmers, and draws the influencing factors that may have a significant impact on the green production behavior of the above three types of farmers. The hierarchical structure analysis of these significant influencing factors was further carried out by using the ISM model. The hierarchical structure of the overall sample of farmers, small farmers and large-scale farmers was obtained. The empirical analysis confirmed the correctness of the theoretical analysis.According to the theoretical explanation and empirical data analysis, the paper draws the following three main conclusions:(1)At present, the proportion of farmers in China adopting agricultural green production behavior is not high;(2)The path and hierarchical structure of the factors affecting the green production behavior of small farmers and the overall sample farmers have a high degree of consistency;(3)The influencing factors and hierarchical structure of green production behavior among different farmers are different.Based on this, the following three policy recommendations are drawn:(1)Local governments at all levels need to further develop plans to improve the green production behavior of farmers;(2)Government departments must promote small farmers’ green production behavior as a key breakthrough;(3)Agricultural departments should make different policies for different types of farmers to improve their green production behavior. |
