With the rapid development of economy,enterprises are facing intense competition,which makes employees under tremendous pressure.All kinds of pressure is likely to cause staff burnout and make physical,mental health problems.These problems involve not only affect staff mental health status and career development of employees,but also directly affect the normal operation and sustainable development of enterprises.This article is based in a case study of factory Y in Dongguan to explore how to use the Employee Assistance programs(EAPs)to relieve the pressure.Based on the theory of social support and career development theory,the author use specialized casework and group work methods to enhance the ability to resist stress and cope with stress in employees,help employees understand and build social support networks,and make recommendations to environmental impact of employee stress and the policy factors.By participating observation and interviews in the factory Y,the author assesses the employee needs to explore how to use group work methods to ease the pressure on staff from the individual,family and group.Firstly,carrying out group work services for female employees with mental health problems and stress plagued to improve them confidence,communication skills and the ability to cope with stress expression.Secondly,carrying out group activities to ease employee families’ pressure and the parent-child relationship tensions,and improve employees’ ability to educate their children.Thirdly,carrying out team-building for the employee benefits committee to enhance their ability to communicate and stress management,and improve the anti-stress employees through community empowerment.The authors carry out services for the employees who needs by casework in daily work to relieve their stress.and make recommendations for the environmental factors that affect employee stress.The results of this study will help ease the pressure on staff,and to some extent develop the social work interventions about the employee assistance programs to ease the pressure,and make additional on alleviating employee’ pressure by group work on the environmental improvements.
