Study On The Vicissitudes Of Traditional Handicraft From The Perspective Of Cultural Space

Xishuangbanna Dai Garden(hereinafter referred to as Dai Garden)is a national 4A-level ethnic minority tourist village-type scenic spot.In the process of historical changes,human beings do not want to adhere to a simple thinking or standard,but seek to maintain cultural diversity.However,with the modernization of society,traditional handicrafts have declined or even disappeared.How to present the cultural carrier? How to look at these lost carriers from a cultural perspective? Without the carrier,how can culture be presented?The embedding of the concept of space makes it possible to integrate perspectives of various disciplines,such as geography,culture,and anthropology,into the study of art.The research on traditional handicrafts of the Dai Garden from the perspective of cultural space helps to re-examine the synchronicity,complexity and interdependence of intangible and tangible heritage from different perspectives.The changes in traditional handicrafts of the Dai Garden from the perspective of cultural space are representative of the in-situ production mode of Yunnan tourism space and the protection and utilization of cultural heritage.From the perspective of cultural space,the traditional handicrafts of the Dai Garden present three types of spatial changes : "scattered space","aggregation space","scattered and aggregation space".From the perspective of the function of cultural space,it has evolved from "tourism development and landscape demand" to a composite demand function integrating "display-experience-consumption".The difficulty in protecting intangible cultural heritage(hereinafter referred to as intangible heritage)is that maintaining the vitality of intangible cultural heritage is a long-term and continuous task.The tourism resources of Dai Garden include natural landscape and humanistic landscape,and one of the representative cultural symbols of humanistic landscape is traditional handicraft.Based on the main categories of handicrafts,they are mainly divided in three categories: "wood,soil,and cloth".Among them,"wood" mainly refers to the bamboo sutra and wooden musical instrument carving craftsmanship based on the Dai's Pattra-leaf scripture and elephant foot drum;"soil" mainly refers to the ceramic clay sculpture craft based on Dai's slow-wheel pottery;"cloth""mainly refers to the weaving craft based on Dai brocade.Based on the perspective of cultural space,this research conducts research on the traditional handicraft changes of Dai Garden.It is believed that art changes should strengthen macro-coordination and micro-governance,and create different spatial scales to facilitate the inheritance and development of traditional culture.Microscopically,it analyzes the changes in the cultural space of the Dai Garden,before identifying the basis of the traditional handicraft production changes.The production changes in the traditional handicrafts of the Dai Garden,Dai Brocade,Dai pottery,Bay Leaf Scripture and Elephant Foot Drum,are fully developed.From the changes of each technique,the two most characteristic forms of change are selected to be explored.In general,on the basis of the micro research of production changes,we will further systematically explore the macro commonality of the four handicraft changes in the Dai Garden,and explore the results of the changes in the traditional handicrafts and cultural spatial relationships in the Dai Garden.Through the research and investigation of this changing process,we can think about the traditional handicrafts of the Dai Garden from the perspective of cultural space,and explore how to "go global".The reasons,content and results of the changes of traditional handicrafts from the perspective of cultural space are analyzed,the inheritance and continuity of traditional handicrafts in Dai Garden in modern society are sorted out,to explore sustainable development of traditional handicrafts through research on changes.
