The Historical And Cultural Of Ancient Tea Garden In Huangjin Village

Tea,with worldwide reputation,has exerted the most far-reaching influence in global market.China,as the origin of tea,has grown to be the largest producer.Under this context,multi-disciplinary research around tea has achieved fruitful results.This research concerns an ancient tea garden,which is located in Huangjin village,Baojing county of Hunan province,and bears over 700 years' of history.It produces Huangjin tea of excellent quality.In terms of tea growth,peculiar natural and ecological environment is essential to guarantee the productive capacity.Up to now,this tea garden still has a high yield,based on which large amount of people in this region has shaken off poverty ahead of others.Meanwhile,relevant departments are actively applying this ancient tea garden as a major agricultural cultural heritage project in China and even the world.Such an act means that a study ofsingle subject would not systematicallyexplain its originand its contemporary use value.This kind of research should be done based on the culturalecological analysis methods of ecological ethnology.It should be given the contemporary ecology theory,and combines with the historical documents of recordsand the villagers' words of mouth.In this case,an integrated interdisciplinary research is required,to explain thespecific history of multi-ethnic cultural balance and interaction,and to explore the value of contemporary innovation and utilization of this cultural heritage,so as to serve for ecological civilization construction and poverty alleviation.Combining through the field investigation and literature,it is found that this tea garden,constructed purposefully by the joint efforts of Miao,Tujia and Han Chinese nationalities,is a special tea tree line production base,as well as a multi-ethnic cultural synergy productof evolution.It witnesses the history of traditional tea production,andprovides vividdata for the construction of harmonious relationship between human beings and nature.It not only carries rich historical accumulation and cultural connotation,but also offers historical experience and lessons for modern innovation of tea production.All in all,in order to realize the creative utilization of this ancient tea garden,a comprehensive understanding of its historical and cultural connotation is necessary,and an all-around awareness of the contemporary internationaldevelopment trend is demanded.This research may provide multi-level of services for ecological maintenance,people's overall health,and sustainable poverty alleviation.
