In 2006,the state council of the CPC central committee issued the outline of the national innovation-driven development strategy,proposing to build an innovation-oriented country by 2020.As a basic course of science and engineering,college physics is of great importance to the cultivation of students' thinking ability.However,there are many definitions and formulas involved in university physics,and many formulas appear in the derivation process,which require much knowledge to be memorized,which makes it difficult for students to choose formulas in their study,especially when solving problems.Mind mapping is the most common tool for thinking visualization,which mainly includes keywords and simple short sentences.The most critical information is retained,and the invalid and disorderly words are deleted.The knowledge points are drawn into a systematic knowledge framework through the internal relationship between each other,which reduces the memory burden and enables students to master the key information in a short time.Mind mapping conforms to the way of thinking of brain radioactivity,and it is a thinking exercise carried out at the level of students' thinking.It visualizes the thinking process,visually observes the thinking process,clarifies the thinking context,improves the ability of divergent thinking and fosters creative thinking.The thinking process of solving problems in college physics exercises is visualized by using mind maps,and the process of thinking about solving problems is represented by diagrams.Students or teachers conduct evaluation and analysis,guide the construction of knowledge,process and sort out the thinking of solving problems of the same type,reduce the difficulty of learning and improve the interest in learning.This paper consists of five chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,which reviews the research status of mind mapping at home and abroad and analyzes the current situation of university physics.The second chapter is the theoretical basis of constructivist learning theory and brain science,and makes conceptual distinction between mind map and concept map.The third chapter is about the advantages of mind map and the dilemma of university physics.Try to use the advantage of mind map to find the way out of the university physics dilemma.The fourth chapter is the practice of mind mapping in university physics,including research design,implementation and questionnaire evaluation.The fifth chapter is the conclusion,which summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of the research and looks forward to the future.
