Smartphone users manage their smartphones for efficiency and personal preference. Some users manually manage their smartphones, while others rely on smartphone applications for various smartphone management tasks. However, smartphone users could forget to perform the manual tasks or numerous smartphone applications could continue to run, draining the power. This thesis presents a novel smartphone management strategy-behavior-based smartphone management (BBSM)---to eliminate the aforementioned disadvantages. BBSM tracks users' daily operations and detects the frequently used operation patterns. By intelligently monitoring users' frequent operations, BBSM allows users to perform different management tasks with a single mobile application. Moreover, BBSM automates the frequently used operations so that manual operations are no longer needed. Density-based spatial clustering of applications with noise (DB SCAN) is adopted to discover the operation patterns. Android SDKs are fully leveraged to fulfill the implementation.
