Abstract/Summary:
The use of smartphones is becoming more and more common in the context of the current development of information technology. However, vision, which is an effective means of accessing information for ordinary users,is not available to visually impaired users. The lack of visual function for visually impaired users leads to the use of other sensory compensations in order to access information. With the rapid development of smart products, the visual compensation-based de-impediment design can provide a more efficient interaction experience for visually impaired users, offering the possibility of efficient access to two-dimensional information in the interface. The article is divided into five main parts:First, based on the results of multisensory channel design and related user experience research, the latest theoretical research results on auditory and haptic design by domestic and international scholars are explored, and the feasibility of smartphone design for visually impaired users is proposed and summarised.Secondly, the theoretical guidance of cognitive psychology, behavioural decision science and computer science is used to construct a multi-channel interaction model and implementation mechanism based on speech and haptics for visually impaired users.Third, the results of the FNIRS experiment and the behavioural analysis are used to evaluate the constructed model. Finally, the results of the FNIRS experiments and behavioural analysis show that the proposed speech and haptic-based multichannel visually impaired user interaction model can provide users with higher usage efficiency and reduced cognitive load.Fourth, based on the behavioural analysis experiments, the cognitive differences of the inclusion of multisensory stimuli on the two-dimensional information model for visually impaired users using the touch screen are investigated, and based on the findings, the principles of accessible interaction information design are summarised and used as a theoretical basis for the design study.Fifthly, the design of the product and the development of the prototype will be completed through design practice.Design an accessible human-computer interaction product for smartphones based on the behavioural characteristics of visually impaired users, and verify its rationality through design evaluation. This study combines research findings from the fields of medicine, cognitive psychology, ergonomics and interaction design to conduct fundamental design research and propose a design proposal for accessible human-computer interaction with multisensory channel stimulation based on the physiological and behavioural characteristics of visually impaired people. The research results can be used to guide the design of accessible human-computer interaction in future smartphones. At the same time, the design of multisensory channel stimulation is integrated into accessible human-computer interaction for visually impaired users through a combination of theory and practice.Following the product design idea from functional requirement analysis to product prototype development and evaluation testing,it provides help for visually impaired users to carry out accessible HCI,broadens the methodological approach to the study of HCI cognitive models for visually impaired people, and also provides some reference for the design and development of accessible interactive products.
