Games exist in our lives in different forms in different periods for its functionand influence on our lives. With the development of Smartphone technology, mobilegames have become the mainstream of daily games obviously. The advancement oftechnology makes the mobile phones become the multifunctional tools, whichdon’tjust limit the function on calling or sending text massage. Actually, the functionsabove have decreased obviously. With the complement of WAP service and mobilephone system like IOS and Android, mobile phone has become a multifunctional tool,which makes game function increasingly significant. In another words, the majorityconsideration of buying mobile phones is tending to the function, entertaining andgames of mobile phones rather than making phone calls.Games has varies features, like its creativity, its freedom, without externalpurpose and without daily hazard, and these are all interlinkedwithaesthetic activities.Aestheticexperience has been the hot topic since the early and mid-1990s. Art cannotexist without experience that is the foundation of reflection. The research of aestheticactivities is the crucial part of aesthetic features issue research. Furthermore,Aesthetic experience is the bridge for connecting aesthetic subjects with objects, andalso it is the result of their interaction. The exploration for the players’ aestheticexperience of Tablet Smartphone game would contribute to discovering the aestheticfeatures of “the ninth art”—mobile games.This thesis made a preliminary exploration for the Smartphone game players’aesthetic experience, focusing on the academic relationship between game experienceand academic aesthetics. The mobile game industry booms in recent years at anamazing speed. The abundant visual stimulation and fresh aesthetic experience shouldnot just act as the new way of entertainment to attract game players, but also becomea new phenomenon that deserves paying attention to and making a research on fromthe point of aesthetics.This thesis is based on the game theory of Kant and Schiller and in accordance with the research report analysis about the hottest Smartphone games. From the pointof view of mobile games’ unique narration style, self-actuation, man-machineinteraction experience and the aesthetic value inside, this thesis summarizes theaesthetic elements in successful mobile games--that is, catering for the uniqueaesthetic experience of present target customers. The results of researching successfulmobile game designs can serve as a reference for the commercial development and inthe meantime, provide some supports on theory and aesthetics for this fresh art aswell as creating a new exploration space for new areas of arts.
