With the rapid economic development,people's quality of life has been continuely on the rise.Consumers,while acquiring the functional needs of their products,have posed a higher requirement for the emotional experience of products.Among all the consumer electronics,smartphones have the largest number and most diverse types of users.They are also the most expressive areas of users' emotion,as evidenced by the expression of user emotions through modeling and colors in product's hardware.This thesis takes the color design of smartphones as the main research direction,and the young user groups as the starting point,will study how the smartphone color meets the emotional and value needs of young users.This topic combines the author's research project in Lenovo's Motorola mobile phone CMF department to study the color trend of smartphones with young people being the target users,and to improve the research methods of the mobile phone's color design.Firstly,this thesis systematically studies and summarizes the related theories of color emotional images,and combines users' interviews to obtain the association and symbolic meaning of users' different color perceptions,and sums u p the user's emotional appeal characteristics to color.Then,it analyzes the relationship between the personality characteristics,temperament characteristics and emotions of the users,and classifies the emotional types of young users into four types: ac tive,quiet,excitatory,and inhibitory.Experiment is then conducted to obtain the cognitive features of color emotion images for different types of users,so as to offering reference for the following screening of mobile phone's color emotional imagery words.Second,the thesis studies the color emotion of smartphones,analyzes the emotional development trend of smart phone colors,and screens the representative trend color as a follow-up experimental sample for subsequent experiments.Thirdly,based on the theory of color emotional images and the method of emotional semantics,the thesis proposes a color design method for smartphones.The research adopts the semantic difference method to analyze the experiment and build the image of relationship between smartphone color and young users.Emotional trend of four emotion types users towards smartphone color is analyzed to summarize the color development trend and color design principles of smartphones that meet the needs of young users of different emotional types.Finally,according to the color development trend and design principles,smartphone color theme scheme for users of different emotion types is designed,and the scientificity and rationality of the color design method of the smart phone are verified through questionnaire survey.The thesis,based on the emotional image theory,combines the product color theory and color semantic theory to analyze the color emotional image of young users,and refines the user group so as to provide a theoretical basis for the design of smartphone color.Meanwhile,this thesis also studies the smartphone color trend fro m the standpoint of user's emotion,in the hope of offering a new research method for color design of younger smartphone by analyzing the relationship be tween young users' emotion and smartphone color.
