| By reviewing and analysing some representative female figures produced in media of different times in China, the article intends to discover what's perceived as the "ideal woman" of each era and what those perceptions tell about the burdens/restrictions on women of different periods. Also, by looking closely at the contemporary female figures in media, the article will attempt to figure out what are problems for today's women in China under a global economy and asks what true liberation is for women. |
