In recent years, new media represented by Internet and mobile phone has developed so rapidly that audiances tend to use new media more. In particular, the networking of mobile phone media makes it more convenient for audiences to get access to and publish a wide range of news, which diversifies the content of news. New reporting way of new media changed the way of people’s habit of obtaining information, and the way of traditional media reporting information, reporters and news market and brought profound changes even to social economy, politics, and culture.In the thesis, the researcher analyzed the influence of new media to the big media environment based on new reporting way of new media, such as micro blog, Wechat, and other forms of clients, and according to Survey Statistics of Audiance and Survey Statistics of China Internet Network Information Center. The thesis is composed of the introduction part and four chapters. In the introduction part, the significance of the research topic and research methods are explained. The thesis, as a study of new media, first expounded and analyzed relevant conceptions of new media in the first chapter. In the second chapter, the change of the way of new media era audiences of obtaining information is analyzed according to Survey Statistics of Audience. In the third chapter, the researcher analyzed the chances and challenges new media brought to traditional media from the perspective of media economics, and points out that media convergence is the way every media must experience to face the challenges of new media era. In the fourth chapter, the researcher studied the influence of new media brought to social economy and politics in the big social environment, and made suggestions on how to regulate new media and exert its social benefits to the utmost extent.
