Research On The Role Of China’s Service Industry In The Global Value Chain

The current world economic situation is undergoing profound changes,and the international division of labor has moved from the previous vertical division of labor to the division of global value chain,which becomes very important for the integration of global value chain and supply chain.In recent years,China’s service industry has seized the opportunity of trade and played an increasingly important role in the international division of production.However,from the perspective of added value,the expansion of trade does not bring more added value to China,and China’s service industry may have a low position in the international division of production.Therefore,it is particularly important to accurately evaluate the current position of China’s service industry in the global value chain and explore the influencing factors and promotion approaches of China’s service industry’s division of labor in the global value chain.At first,this paper estimates the status of China’s service industry in the international division of production,and by building international panel data model to explore the ways to improve the status of China’s service industry international division of labor,using stata13.0 software about services affects the status of global value chain division of labor are the empirical test,measure the service trade openness,research and development investment,urbanization level,foreign investment scale,the six indicators related industries and infrastructure for the service industry the influence degree of the global value chain division of labor status.The main conclusions are as follows :(1)the GVC status index of the whole and subdivided industries of China’s service industry generally shows a slow rising trend in 18 years,but the rising range is not obvious;However,the GVC participation index of China’s service industry as a whole and most subsectors shows a slow decline trend,and only postal communication service and community and social work two subsectors show an upward trend.It can be seen from the comparison of GVC index with other countries that China’s service industry is still in a low position in the international division of labor.(2)in the empirical test of the service industry as a whole in 11 countries,the four variables of r&d investment,urbanization level,scale of foreign investment and Internet level have significantly promoted the division of labor of the service industry in the global value chain.R&d input and foreign investment scale variables have significantly increased the service industry’s participation in GVCS.Based on the above services to our country the position of the measure in the global value chain,as well as services division of global value chain position influence factors of the empirical test,finally,the paper on how to improve our services in the global value chain division of labor status put forward the corresponding countermeasures and Suggestions,in order to promote China’s service industries to the global value chain of mobile.
