China's economy keep slowing down recently after 30 years high speed growth,Company operation expense and labor cost increasing every year,at the same time,the emerging economies in Asia could provide better offer to European retails which makes the S company who is specialize in FMCG supply chain management service facing big challenge.FMCG Product demand a short new product development lead time due to product's feature that have a really short lifetime.S Company always been troubled by new product development delay,desperately need to find a solution to solve the problem.This article based on the process and project management,six sigma theory to investigate S company's problem,applied the useful management tool such as fish bone chart,Gantt chart,Pareto chart to identify the root cause of the new product development delay,analyzed the whole process,found the formulation approval process is not efficient.then by utilized the DMAIC method to optimize the formulation approving process.The new process not only reduced the formulation approval lead time,But also make the whole process more easy to control,.Verified the new process by applied to a project at last to prove the new process is workable.
