Research On The Domestic Tourism Demand Of Chinese Residents

With the 40 years' development of China's Reform and Opening,we have entered a new era of socialism with a slowdown in economic growth and a shift from high speed to high quality growth,are entering a new normal of economic growth.Under this background,people's living standards are improving day by day.Domestic tourism has become an important way for people to pursue a better life,and it has been gradually improved.At the present,the development of domestic tourism in China is still in the transition stage of growth to maturity,with a huge development potential.Residents in China's domestic tourism demand research helps us to explore the change trend of domestic tourism demand in our country to find effective ways to promote the development of domestic tourism.It aims at developing the tourism industry planning and related policies,guiding the tourism market balance of supply and demand growth,and promoting the sustained and healthy development of tourism industry.The main contents of the paper are as follows:First,according to a series of domestic tourism demand theory,paper discusses the meaning of travel demand and hierarchical division,clarifies the implemented the connotation of tourism demand.And then,this paper explains the measure and the factors affecting the demand for domestic tourism,points out the four broad categories of travel demand influence factors and the meanings of the various indicators,for later analysis.Second,this paper describes the domestic tourism demand of Chinese residents through some indicators such as domestic tourist number,total cost,per capita expenditure and travel rate from three aspects.Frist of all,this paper describes the change of domestic tourism demand of Chinese residents from 2001 to 2016.Secondly,it analyzes the difference between urban residents and rural residents from the perspective of urban and rural areas.Thirdly,this paper analyzes the differences between Chinese residents' demand for tourism in different regions from different regions.It is found that the demand of Chinese residents for domestic tourism is mainly characterized by rapid growth,large gap between urban and rural areas and imbalance between regions.Third,domestic travel rate index is used to describe the domestic tourism demand,through the analysis of the four categories of domestic tourism demand factors to establish the regression model to carry on the empirical analysis,in order that research the relationship between the domestic tourism demand quantity and the level of disposable income,leisure time,tourism product price factors.It is found that the domestic tourism rate will rise with the increase of the consumption level of the residents,while the increase of the statutory holidays will bring the domestic tourists abroad,leading to the decline of the domestic tourism rate.The increase of tourism price will lead to the increase of domestic tourism demand.Fourth,this paper takes the tourists from Sichuan province as an example,using the per capita cost index to describe the domestic tourism demand,and using Grey Correlation Analysis.The purpose is researching the residents' per capita domestic tourism relationship between cost and its various composition.It found that domestic tourism spending on average correlation between it and its various composition changes gradually,but showed a trend of decrease in overall,the spending of the impact on the cost per capita,consumption tends to be stable.Fifth,according to the conclusions,this paper puts forward some suggestions to promote the sustainable and healthy growth of domestic tourism demand: further stimulate the overall improvement of domestic tourism demand;improve the disposable income of rural residents and achieve balanced development of tourism demand of urban and rural residents;continue to improve the paid leave system and perfecting the structure of residents' vacation;promote tourism supply side reform to meet the needs of residents' high-level tourism;standardize the travel industry,and eliminate illegal behaviors;improve the coping ability of emergencies and improve the insurance mechanism;raise the national cultural literacy and raise awareness of environmental protection;cooperate with the strategy of rural revitalization,and make a good fight against poverty through rural tourism.
