Analysis Of Key Factors Contributing To Domestic Tourism Consumption

There is a large body of research literature on the analysis of influential factors contributing to the tourism consumption in China.However,the previous studies only paid more attention to the effects of the tourist preference,social economics and demographics on the tourists' spending.Few studies carried out analysis on the effects that environmental factors,such as air quality,water quality,the rate of green coverage in the tourism city areas could possibly have on the domestic tourism demand.In this paper,we try to assess the environmental effect on tourism demand for city tourism using the tourist consumption data of 2007-2014 compiled across over 26 primary tourism cities in china.In the process,the panel data is used to run a double-log regression model.The results indicate that the rate of green coverage,air quality,level of GDP,and local people's disposable income are all displayed a statistically significant influence on the aggregate tourist expenditure.And then,the paper apply the total factor productivity model to calculate the contribution rate of the main factors to tourism consumption.The average annual contribution rate of gdp is71.32%.The average annual contribution rate of resident disposable income is 25.24%.The average annual contribution rate of urban green rate and the percentage of good days account for less than 3.5%;And through the analysis of the the marginal substitution rate among city green coverage rate,air quality and residents disposable income,We find out city greening rate and the air quality of the disposable income of residents have substitution effect for residents disposable income in the aspect of improving the tourists' consumption level,but the promotion effect of residents disposable income to tourism expenditure is significantly greater than the environment elements.The environmental net effect analysis shows that factors such as city greening rate,good angel ratio and annual average level of PH in precipitation are elastic(Ie>1)with respect to the total tourists' expenditure with the magnitude of being1.72,1.31,1.45,respectively.However,the elasticity coefficient of PM10 and NO2 in the air content,water quality,and dust emissions are estimated at-0.09,0.37,-0.63,respectively.Finally,collect the environmental protection plan for the 13 th Five-Year collection of tourist city on city greening rate and air quality data and then forecast the change of environmental quality bring the tourism economy.
