A Survey On The Digitization Of Chinese Ancient Books In Public Libraries In Mainland China From 2007 To 2017

With the advent of the Internet technology development and information age,the change brought by technological development has penetrated into every aspect of life.Ancient books are important material carriers of the history and culture of the Chinese nation and are of great significance for inheriting and carrying forward our country's outstanding historical culture.Digitization of ancient books is a new area that has developed along with the advancement of information technology and is closely related to the collation of ancient books,the protection and utilization of documents,and the cultural heritage.With the continuous promotion of Chinese culture going out and achieving the creative transformation and innovative development of China's outstanding traditional culture,digitalization of ancient books is one of the fastest,most important,and most effective channels of communication.Among them,the public library,as the main collection unit of ancient books in mainland China,plays an important role in the development of digitalization of ancient books in China.This paper selects the basic research on the digitization of ancient books in public libraries in mainland China in the ten years since the development of the Chinese Ancient Books Protection Program from 2007 to 2017.The research objects are ancient Chinese books,and the digital construction of public libraries and the public's digital resources through the investigation.The needs of the construction are well understood.We hope to make a systematic review of the current situation through the investigation and provide basic materials for the next step of planning and development,and put forward some useful suggestions for the digital work of the public library.
