Since the beginning of popularity of smart mobilephones in 2011,the mobile Internet has become a part of people's lives day by day.WeChat was born in 2011,Sina micro-blog grew rapidly around 2012,and social networks became one of the important access to information.The main content of the overseas information bloggers is to integrate,translate and make secondary processing the content which meet the Chinese taste from the media or social networks of foreign countries,to make it conform to the aesthetic taste of the Chinese people.So that users know the latest information about foreign countries.Overseas information bloggers are not only the practitioners of cross-cultural communication,but also the channels for young people to understand their daily life abroad.But in previous research,there were reports of a significant number of we media outlets focusing on prescription and interest in order to snatch news,citing unverified sources of information or quoting "tabloids" that were not serious.As an example proves,in February 2017,Wikipedia listed the Daily Mail as a source of information that could not be trusted,but "those things in Britain" still used a large number of articles from the Daily Mail as a source of information.False facts will further lead to misunderstandings.We can only recognize the lack of a comprehensive understanding of the environment in which information is constructed from the media.The main research topics of this paper also come from this,mainly adopting the methods of literature analysis,content analysis and so on,which have obtained the detailed and practical first-hand research materials,from the second-hand information of the authoritative reports and so on,and then carry on the full data analysis and research.This paper uses the method of literature analysis to form the whole cognition of the current situation of the we media gatekeeping research,and can carry on the next analysis according to it.Furthermore,through content analysis,this paper makes gatekeeper mode analysis on we media on overseas information represented by "Those things in Britain" and " College Daily ".Among them,712 samples of micro-blog and 2440 samples of WeChat articles are obtained.On the basis of the samples,it analyzes the release frequency,the type of topics,the source of information,and summarizes its general characteristics.According to the observation and logical analysis of the existing data,it puts forward suggestions and countermeasures for the development of we media on overseas information.First of all,through literature review to sort out the existing situation of we media gatekeepers,we find that most of the literature is around the whole research,such as the loss of the right to speak of traditional media,the great changes brought by the we media,and so on,most of them look at the development of we media from the perspective of traditional media.There are also case researches,such as the research of a WeChat public number communication strategy,business philosophy and so on.Secondly,less research has been done on overseas information from the media,such as "those things in Britain".There are not only external causes of network regulation in China,but also internal causes of language barriers,in which language barriers can be divided into two parts,namely,language learning itself is not strong enough and local culture in language is difficult to understand.Then,through sample data studies,we found that the sample of "Those things in Britain" and the "College Daily" had the following characteristics:first,there are more soft news and breaking news abroad;second,mainly integrate news,lack of original.There are much more tabloids and social media among the information sources,such as "Those things in Britain",where they get the information from the“Daily Mail”more frequently;third,the profit model is similar,that is,content to obtain traffic,and then use traffic to sell advertising.Traffic means interest,as a result,the appearance of sensational headline writers is more widespread.Judging from the gatekeeping,we media on overseas information is roughly divided into three gatekeepers.The first is from the media gatekeeping,that is,the publishers team,the second is the platform merchants' gatekeeping,and the third is the internet users' own gatekeeping.Finally,the results show that the overseas media also need to carefully check the release of content,to gradually form industry self-discipline and legal support,it is better to have a certain audit mechanism.From the individual audience,we also need to improve the ability to distinguish overseas information and improve our own media literacy.These also need users,the media,the country to work together,learn to remain awake in the numerous internet tide,do not follow the current.
