The physical health of college students has become an important subject that attracts more and more attention from all walks of life.Nowadays,colleges and universities pay more and more attention to the problem of college students’ physical health,but in recent years,the level of college students’ physical health is still in a declining trend,and more and more people pay attention to their physical health.Therefore,to improve the physical health of college students is a problem that every school must face at present.This study designed CrossFit training program to improve the physical health of college students,and conducted experiments and tests on the physical health of 24 college students in Tianjin Institute of Physical Education.The purpose is to verify the effectiveness of CrossFit training for improving the physical health of college students through experiments,and to introduce CrossFit as a training method into college physical education classes and after-school exercises,to improve the physical health of college students and daily fitness to provide guidance and reference.The purpose of this study was to examine the physical health data of male and female college students before and after the 8-week CrossFit training course,and to compare the indexes selected in the National Student Physical Health Standard(2014 revised edition),the main conclusions are as follows:(1)through CrossFit training,the physiological function of Male / female college students can be improved,which shows that the difference of vital capacity after experiment is very significant(p < 0.01);(2)through CrossFit training,the physical quality of male / female college students can be improved,there were significant differences in 50 m running,standing long jump,800m(female),pull-up(male)and Sit-up(female)after the experiment(p < 0.01),and significant differences in 1000m(p < 0.05)However,there was no significant difference between male and female students in forward flexion(p > 0.05);(3)after CrossFit training,there was no significant difference between male and female students in height,weight and BMI(p > 0.05).At the same time,this study puts forward the following suggestions:(1)CrossFit training can effectively improve the physiological function and physical fitness of male and female college students by designing CrossFit training methods related to their physical fitness,CrossFit training can be used as a training method to improve the physical health of college students;(2)CrossFit training has no obvious effect on improving the body shape index,in order to overcome the deficiency of BMI index in evaluating the changes of muscle composition of exercisers;(3)the design of CrossFit training means may bring different effects,therefore,when CrossFit training is introduced into physical education or after-school exercise for college students,in order to ensure the safety of the training,it is necessary to take into account the physiological and psychological characteristics of the exercisers as well as the objective factors such as the existing sports basis and training conditions,and to make a well-designed training program,to achieve the goal of improving the physical health of college students.
