| “Operation-ability” is one of the ten core concepts proposed in the “Compulsory Education Mathematics Curriculum Standard(2011 Edition)”.Mathematical operation-ability,as the primary and basic function in mathematical applications,is the cornerstone of the development of other mathematical skills.Researching and investigating the current situation of mathematics operation ability of eighth grade students and putting forward training strategies are important to improve the quality of teachers’ mathematical teaching and the development of students’ mathematical ability.First,the research adopts the literature search method,depending on the need to consult,comb and analyze the relevant literature,determine the article research ideas,learn from Operational ability tests from previous research,to compile the paper ability test operation for eighth-grade students.Next,adopt the test method to test the mathematical operation-ability of students of both schools,and use the statistical analysis method and SPSS18.0 software to analyze the level of mathematical operation-ability of students.Finally,the interview method is used to interview front-line teachers and some eighth-grade students from both schools,and the analysis of the interview and test results is combined,to summarize and integrate the factors that affect the development of students’ mathematical operation-ability,in order to provide support for making reasonable teaching suggestions.The survey results show that the overall development of mathematics operation ability of the eighth grade students is not optimistic and needs to be improved.Among them,the ability to extract information on the subject develops best,followed by estimation,and the ability to simplify computing steps develops worst.In principle,performance scores follow a normal distribution.There is no significant difference in the level of mathematical operations between boys and girls.Factors restricting the development of mathematics operation ability for eighth grade students are:(1)students’ computing habits are poor,mainly including examination habits,answering habits,the use of the draft paper habits and checking habits;(2)The students’ basic knowledge of mathematical operations is not well grasped,and the understanding is not thorough;(3)The application of mathematical thinking methods in operation problems is ignored;(4)The students’ mathematical operation thinking is not flexible enough.Based on the research results,the following teaching suggestions are put forward:(1)focus on the cultivation of students’ operation habits;(2)Strengthen the teaching of basic knowledge of computing;(3)Strengthen the penetration of mathematical ideas and methods in teaching;(4)Set flexibly question group training and exercise the sensitivity of computational thinking. |
