Mathematical operation ability is one of the basic mathematical abilities of junior high school students,and it affects the development of junior high school students' other math abilities.Since the new curriculum reform,junior high school students' math operation ability has showed a trend of decline,so it is necessary to pay more attention to the stability and development of junior middle school students' mathematical operation ability at present.In order to find out the factors influencing the improvement of junior middle school students' operation ability,the outline of this paper about factors influencing the improvement of junior middle school students' mathematical operation ability has been drawn up on the basis of theoretical research and actual visit to study the present situation of students' mathematical operation ability in Grade Seven,Grade Eight and Grade Nine through questionnaire survey and mathematics test.The research result shows factors that affect the improvement of the junior middle school students' mathematical operation ability are inertia psychology,students' mathematical thinking ability,test the stress factors,relying on the calculator,number sense,the easiness of exercises in textbook,students' weak mathematical foundation in elementary school.In order to change the status of the junior middle school students' mathematical operation ability,this paper preliminarily puts forward some effective means to cultivate junior middle school students' mathematical operation ability: understanding students' difficult points in process of operation through the history of mathematics,creating a pleasant mathematical operation class culture environment,trying to use new multimedia teaching software,motivating students' interest to operation,trying to improve students' mathematical thinking,assigning “appropriate” and “fine” exercises,cultivating the students' self-checking habit.The further suggestion is that the history of mathematics should be effectively used in mathematical operation teaching to understand students' difficult knowledge of operation,thus teachers will be able to adjust the period division to avoid them reappearance in the modern mathematicalclass according to cognitive difficulties and obstacles of people towards mathematical operation in the history of mathematics;The mathematical operation classroom needs to be created a certain cultural environment,and infiltrated the mathematical culture to cultivate the students' core accomplishment;Teachers should try to use new multimedia software to help students understand the knowledge points;Teachers should attach great importance to the cultivation of students' non-intellectual factors,including the cultivation of students' interest in mathematical operation and good problem solving habits,as well as strengthening students' mathematical thinking;The difficulty of the part of the exercises in the textbooks are suggested to be increased,and the position of the operation chapters should be adjusted,so students won't easily lose their heads due to solving out easy exercises in the textbooks,and also the mathematical operation ability of students in Grade Eight,Grade Nine won't be weaken because the time fully occupied by the function and geometry content.In addition,this article uses SPSS19.0 and Excel2003 software to analyse the test data of teacher questionnaire and students' mathematical operation,thus the study conclusion has certain reliability and reference and the writer hopes to help junior middle school students promote their mathematical operation ability effectively with the improvement of teaching methods,learning methods,the textbook compilation and other aspects.
