As a new form of reading instruction,group reading is a combination of multiple texts.It seamlessly connects readings in and out of class.It implements the requirement of Chinese curriculum standards for extracurricular reading,and strives to achieve reading,thinking and expression for students.The coordinated development will effectively promote the improvement of students’ learning ability and the cultivation of language core qualities.The reading of group texts expands students’ reading horizons and enhances students’ language accomplishments.At the same time,it treats teaching as a process of exploration and challenge,transforming the Chinese language classroom into an communication and sharing classroom.The reading of group texts brings not only the variety of reading teaching styles,but also the update and development of reading thoughts.Although the teaching concept of group reading has penetrated into the practice of reading teaching,this type of reading teaching is mainly promoted in primary schools.A few high school language teachers have paid attention to and tried group reading teaching.But they have not attracted widespread attention in high school teaching.After studying the related contents of group reading teaching,we found that group reading teaching is a great skill for students to improve the breadth and depth of high school students’ reading,promote the development of thinking,and improve reading speed.At the same time,group reading followed the text’s summoning structure theory,constructivism theory and recent development area theory,which provided theoretical support for the application in prose teaching.Therefore,the application of group reading in high school prose teaching should deserve the attention of high school language teachers.The author proposes that teaching objectives and teaching strategies of group reading should set in teaching prose.The case study was designed for the application of group reading in prose teaching.It introduced how to use group reading to teach high school prose reading and analyzed the advantages and limitations of group reading.It is aim to help high school language teachers to better understand and implement the reading of the group text in prose teaching. |
