| After the Qing Dynasty entered the Central Plains,the Eight Banners Army was divided into eight banners of forbidden brigades eight banners of residence and eight banners of garrison.The Eight Banners of garrison were garrisoned in all the important places of the country.Taiyuan,as the capital of Shanxi Province,has an important geographical position and has always been a place for military strategists to contend for,so it became a place where the Eight Banners were stationed In the six years of Shunzhi,the Qing government sent eight banners to stationed in Taiyuan.Taiyuan garrison was formally formed and became part of the Eight Banners in garrison.It played an important role in calming domestic turmoil and resisting foreign enemies and maintaining national unity.Through collecting,sorting out and researching the historical data of Taiyuan Eight Banners,we can make Taiyuan Eight Banners clearer.Starting from the background of the Eight Banners Garrison System in the Qing Dynasty,this paper first introduces the historical background,reasons and necessity and importance of the establishment of the Eight Banners Garrison in Taiyuan,and then analyses and discusses the changes of its organization and number of soldiers.This paper also focuses on the study of Taiyuan’s eight-banner garrison function,Taiyuan’s eight-banner garrison officers and soldiers have played an active role in maintaining national security and resisting foreign aggression;at the same time,it also discusses in detail the treatment of Taiyuan’s eight-banner garrison officers and soldiers,and introduces the daily life of Taiyuan’s eight-banner garrison.Finally,the characteristics,status,role and influence of the Eight Banners garrisoned in Taiyuan in the Qing Dynasty are elaborated and summarized. |
