With the development of secondary education in China,the number of new graduates in secondary schools is increasing rapidly,and the problem of employment is becoming increasingly prominent.On the contrary,with the increasing demand for skilled personnel,secondary vocational education has increasingly become a hot social issue.The main position of training qualified skilled personnel for society is classroom teaching in secondary vocational schools.High efficiency and high quality classroom teaching is based on high level of classroom management as the premise and guarantee.Because of the particularity of secondary vocational school students,it is relatively difficult to create a harmonious,orderly and relaxed classroom atmosphere.Based on the field investigation of X secondary vocational school in Jiangsu Province,this paper:investigates and analyzes the current situation of English classroom management in vocational schools,studies the problems and causes of English classroom management in vocational schools,and puts forward specific strategies to improve the efficiency of English classroom management in combination with the actual situation of X secondary vocational school in Jiangsu province.This study investigates and analyzes the problems arising in the management of English class in the X secondary vocational school in Jiangsu province.It is found that the main problems of English classroom management in the X secondary vocational school in Jiangsu province are as follows:English teachers’ awareness of classroom management is weak,English teachers’ classroom management mode is single,English teachers’ classroom teaching is loosely organized and students are unorganized.The degree of English classroom participation is low and the basic conditions of classroom teaching are poor.The causes of these problems are:the lack of effective classroom management strategies for English teachers in secondary vocational schools,the lack of attraction of English teachers in the classroom,the low enthusiasm of students to participate in English classroom teaching,and the low investment in the professional training of English teachers and the low investment in the classroom construction.Based on the current situation,this paper,through the comprehensive analysis and induction,from various aspects,proposed to stimulate the students’ interest in English classroom learning:to establish the professional prestige of the teachers;to take various methods to improve the teacher’s classroom management ability;to restore the student owner and to enhance the students’ self management ability;Good school environment,create favorable conditions for classroom management and so on.
