| With the deepening reform of vocational education,the teaching mode of “teaching,learning,and doing integration” is generally accepted as the chief teaching mode in vocational colleges.The teaching aim of higher vocational education is to cultivate the applied talents of production,service and management.As a common required basic course,vocational English also serves for the cultivation of applied talents.At present,higher vocational English is breaking the traditional subject education system.It is constructing an integrated comprehensive quality course which is occupational activities-oriented,ability-aimed,students-centered,quality-based and task-supported.In comparison with the traditional mode of teaching,the quality of vocational English teaching based on integration mode is more dependent on good classroom management.The effectiveness of classroom management determines the quality of “teaching,learning,and doing” activities.In view of the particularity of English classroom management based on the integration teaching mode,it is quite necessary to make a research on it.This thesis takes the public English teachers and non-English major students in Guangzhou K vocational college as the research objects,it makes an investigation on the college’s present situation of English classroom management by literature research method,questionnaire method,classroom observation method and interview method,it analyzes the existing problems and their causes,and it presents some related strategies of integration-based vocational English classroom management.The research results show that it has obvious advantages in vocational English teaching based on integration teaching mode,but it has some problems in classroom management.Firstly,the teachers’ self-management ability is inadequate.Secondly,the classroom environment can’t guarantee the smooth implementation of integration teaching.Thirdly,the management of integrated teaching contents is improper.It results in the inefficiency of “teaching,learning and doing” activities.Fourthly,the management method and management effectiveness of teachers to the students are not satisfactory.Fifthly,the self-management of vocational college students is poor.Based upon the problems and according to their causes,the author puts forward five strategies as following: Teachers’ self-management strategy;Classroom environment management strategy;Teaching contents management strategy;Management strategies of teachers to students;Students’ self-management strategy. |
