Clinical Observation Of Longhu Fighting Acupuncture Therapy For Knee Osteoarthritis

Objective:The study is targets offering traditional Chinese therapies against arthritis.Methods: Research objects are 60 patients who meet the study criteria from January to October 2019 in the outpatient and inpatient departments of the acupuncture of Hunan Academy of traditional Chinese Medicine Affiliated Hospital.According to their consultation orders,odd numbers go into the control group and even numbers into the observation group.For the two groups,the same acupuncture points are touched.If patients suffer with their two knee osteoarthritis,acupuncture points on two sides are concerned.The observation group is treated with dragon-tiger contending acupuncture around once each day and for 30 minutes.The patients in the group receive treatment for 2 weeks.The control group is treated with common acupuncture method during the same period.Treatment effects are evaluated from the perspective of VAS,WOMAC and clinical efficacy.Results: 1)The data from two groups of patients show that the difference(P>0.05)is of no statistical significance and that they are comparative.2)VAS grades: Before treatment,the VAS gradesrom two groups of patients are of no statistical significance and comparative(P>0.05).After they receive treatment for one week:Compare with before treatment,their VAS grades in groups are statistical significance(P<0.05).After they receive treatment for two weeks:Compare with receive treatment for one week,VAS grades in two groups are statistical significance(P<0.05);the VAS grade between the two groups are statistical significance(P<0.05)and this shows two methods both can relieve pain and dragon-tiger contending acupuncture is more useful than the common acupuncture method after two weeks.3)WOMAC grades: Before treatment,the WOMAC grades from two groups of patientsare of no statistical significance and comparative(P>0.05).After they receive treatment for one week: Compare with before treatment,their WOMAC grades in two groups are no statistical significance(P>0.05).After they receive treatment for two weeks: Compare with receive treatment for one week,WOMAC grades in two groups are statistical significance(P <0.05).WOMAC grades between two groups of patients are statistical significance(P<0.05)demonstrate that two methods both can relieve KOA related symptoms and dragon-tiger contending acupuncture is more useful than the common acupuncture method after two weeks.4)efficacy observation: When treatment ends,the analgesia efficacy is 80.00% and the total efficacy is 76.67% in the control group with the observation group 96.67% and 90.00% respectively.Conclusion: The study reveals that dragon-tiger contending acupuncture can relieve pain caused KOA and KOA related symptoms and more useful than common acupuncture method.
