Objective To observe the clinical treatment of patients with the third lumbar vertebra transverse process syndrome(TLVTPS)with the method of dragon-tiger fighting needling,to provide theoretical and clinical basis for the clinical popularization of this treatment, and to provide a new method for improving the efficacy of the treatment of the third lumbar transverse process syndrome.Method From October 2018 to December 2019,60 patients cases of the third lumbar transverse process syndrome patients, were selected from outpatient and inpatient of Wuhan hospital of TCM with postpartum rheumatism. They were randomly divided into dragon-tiger fighting group and electroacupuncture group,30 cases in each group.Acupuncture acupoint:local Ashi(the third lumbar transverse process apex),Shenshu(double),Qihaishu(double)and Weizhong(double). The electroacupuncture group was treated with electroacupuncture combined with TDP after acupuncture. The dragon-tiger fighting group used the dragon-tiger fighting method combined with TDP.Each treatment lasted for 30 min,5 times a week, followed by 2 days' rest, that means 7 days for a course of treatment for 2 weeks. After the treatment, the two groups of patients were evaluated. The observation indexes included clinical efficacy,Oswestry disability index and Mc Gill pain questionnaire.all data were analyzed by statistical analysis.P<0.05 indicates that the difference detected by the statistical results is statistically significant.Result1.ODI:The difference of ODI before and after treatment showed statistically significant difference between the two groups(all P<0.05),and the improvement of the dysfunction in the dragon-tiger fighting group was better than that in the electroacupuncture group(P<0.05).2.Mc Gill: the difference of ODI before and after treatment showed statistically significant difference between the two groups(all P<0.05),The improvement of the scale in the dragon-tiger fighting group was better than that in the electroacupuncture group(P<0.05).3.Clinical efficacy:In the dragon-tiger fighting group,14 patients were cured,8 patients were excellent,5 patients were effective,3 patients were ineffective, and the total effective rate was 90.00%.In the electroacupuncture group,5 cases were cured clinically,6 cases were excellent,10 cases were effective,9 cases were ineffective, and the total effective rate was 70.00%.There was a significant difference in curative effect between them(P<0.05),indicating that the dragon-tiger fighting group was significantly better than the electroacupuncture group in the term of clinical efficacy. In conlusion Both of the two groups have achieved significant clinical efficacy in the treatment of TLVTPS.The ODI dysfunction score and the Mcgill pain scale were improved to different degrees in both groups, and the dragon-tiger fighting group is significantly better than the electroacupuncture group in the improvement of the above indicators. Therefore, the dragon-tiger fighting needling method is one of the effective therapy to treat TLVTPS,which is worthy of clinical application and promotion.
