Objective: To observe the efficacy and safety of Guizhi Fuzi decoction in the treatment of cervical Spondylotic radiculopathy, and to explore its mechanism,so as to provide clinical basis for the treatment of cervical Spondylotic radiculopathy with Guizhi Fuzi decoction based on the theory of syndrome differentiation of six meridians. Methods: Sixty patients who met the diagnostic criteria in the first affiliated Hospital of Hunan University of traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2019 to December 2019 were randomly divided into treatment group(n = 30)and control group(n = 30).The treatment group was treated with Guizhi Fuzi decoction and the control group was treated with celecoxib capsule and mecobalamin tablets for 2 weeks. Before treatment and 2 weeks after treatment,3months after treatment, the pain was evaluated by VAS,the curative effect was evaluated according to the Therapeutic Standard of TCM Disease and Syndrome diagnosis, and the clinical symptoms were evaluated by the score of TCM main syndrome scale. Results:Before treatment: there was no significant difference in sex, age, course of disease and condition between the two groups(P>0.05),indicating that the two groups were comparable. After treatment, there was a significant difference in the improvement of VAS pain score between the two groups, indicating that both groups could improve the pain caused by cervical Spondylotic radiculopathy, but there was no significant difference between the two groups, indicating that the immediate analgesic effects of the two groups were similar.Three months after treatment, there was no significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05),but there was significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).Three months after treatment, there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05),which indicated that the effect of drug consolidation and analgesia in the treatment group was better than that in the control group. In terms of the total score of TCM syndrome, there was a significant difference between the two groups after 2 weeks of treatment(P< 0.05),indicating that the two groups were effective on neck, shoulder and back pain, upper limb pain, sweating and sleepiness and other symptoms;comparison between groups: the score of TCM syndrome in the treatment group decreased significantly, with statistical significance(P<0.05),indicating that the treatment group was better than the control group in improving TCM syndrome.3 months after treatment: there was no significant difference in syndrome score in the treatment group(P<0.05),while there was significant difference in the control group(P> 0.05),indicating that the treatment group was more persistent and stable than the control group in the main syndromes of traditional Chinese medicine.Comparison of the curative effect after treatment: the effective rate of the treatment group was 90.005%,and that of the control group was 86.67%.There was a significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05),indicating that the treatment group was better than the control group. Conclusion: Guizhi Fuzi decoction can obviously relieve the root pain of cervical Spondylotic radiculopathy and improve the neck, shoulder, upper limb stiffness, pain, fear of cold, sweating, fatigue and other symptoms of cervical Spondylotic radiculopathy.Guizhi Fuzi decoction is effective and safe in the treatment of cervical Spondylotic radiculopathy and is worthy of clinical promotion.
