Part 1 Effect of Constipation on the Treatment of Infant Intussusception by Air EnemaObjective To analyze the effect of constipation on the infant intussusception reduction treated by air enema and propose further corresponding improvement program by utilizing the grouping and comparison method through the retrospective analysis.Method The clinical data of 120 infant patients, who had intussusception and adopted the treatment by air enema under X-ray fluoroscopy from January 2017 to May 2017 in our hospital, were selected for retrospective analysis.Based on whether these infant patients had constipation history or not,the 120 cases were divided into group A and group B,among which, group A patients had the constipation history recently and group B patients didn't have. All the patients in both groups didn't have statistical differences in gender, age and disease time.Comparison of the average time for intussusception reduction, the number of successful reduction cases, and the number of unsuccessful reduction cases between the two groups were done.Result In the 120 patients, who were diagnosed with intussusception, group A had 43 cases with the average reduction time of 5.82±1.92 minutes,38 successful reduction cases accounting for 88.37%(38/43),as well as,5 unsuccessful reduction cases accounting for 11.63%(5/43);group B had 77 cases with the average reduction time of 4.75±1.58 minutes,72 successful reduction cases accounting for 93.50%(72/77),as well as,5 unsuccessful reduction cases accounting for 6.49%(5/77).Compared group A with group B,it was found group A had longer reduction time than that of the group B,which had statistical significance in their differences(p<0.05);and both groups had no significantly statistical differences in the success rate of reduction(p>0.05).Conclusion By retrospective analysis on the clinical data of the infant with intussusception treated by air enema from January 2017 to May 2017 in our hospital,it was found the constipation did not affect the success rate of reduction treated by air enema, but the treatment time would be longer, the treatment risk by air enema would be higher, the risk of X-ray radiation exposure would be higher,as well as,the painful time suffered by infant patients would be longer.During the treatment by air enema, corresponding measures should be taken,in order to minimize the effect of constipation on the treatment by air enema, shorten the treatment time by air enema and improve the safety of air enema treatment.Part 2 Application of Glycerine Enema in the Treatment of Infant Intussusception by Air EnemaObjective To discuss the application value of glycerine enema in the treatment of infant intussusception by air enema.Method By taking the 312 infant patients, who were diagnosed as intussusception, from May 2017 and March 2018 in our hospital as the research subject, then they were randomly divided into experimental group and control group based on the order of doctors' office visiting, and both experimental and control groups had 156 infant patients respectively without significantly statistical differences in their gender, age and disease time. Before applying the air enema,a dose of glycerine enema was applied for the experimental group patients but no drugs were applied for the control group patients.Comparison of the average time for the intussusception reduction, the number of successful reduction cases and the number of unsuccessful reduction cases between the two groups were done.Result All the 312 infant patients were diagnosed as intussusception by air enema, among which, the experimental group had 156 cases with the symptom of defecation after applying glycerine enema, the average reduction time of 4.45±1.28 minutes,140 successful reduction cases accounting for 89.74%(140/156),16 unsuccessful reduction cases accounting for 10.26%(16/156);the control group had 156 cases with the average reduction time of 5.08±1.67 minutes,129 successful reduction cases accounting for 82.69%(129/156),as well as,27 unsuccessful reduction cases accounting for 17.31%(27/156).It was found the experimental group had shorter reduction time than that of the control group, which had statistical significance in their differences(p<0.05);and both groups had no significantly statistical differences in the success rate of reduction(p>0.05).Conclusion Application of glycerine enema before the air enema treatment would significantly reduce the treatment time, reduce the necrotic and perforation probability of the intestinal wall, reduce the X-ray radiation dosage suffered by the infant patients accordingly,as well as,improve the safety of air enema treatment.Additionally, not only the treatment time would be shortened but also the pain suffered by the infant patients during the air enema treatment, which would improve the satisfaction of the patients' family members. However, abusive use of glycerine enema would also adversely affect the infant patients,so it could be applied specific to the actual situation of the infant patients during the actually clinical process.
