Objective:We summarize and analyze the clinical data of ultrasound guided saline enema reduction and fluoroscopically guided pneumatic enema reduction in children with intussusception,in order to find a more ideal method for the treatment of acute intussusception in children. Methods:By the method of retrospectively summarizing and comparative analysis,we retrospectively summarize the clinical data of all the children with intussusception from Shengjing Hospital Affiliated to China Medical University and Harbin Children's Hospital from January 2009 to December 2013.And we compare the two centers of the therapeutic effect and complications, etc. In addition,the?~2 test is used to compare the success rate, perforation rate and recurrence rate of two groups. Results:The results of this clinical observation show that:(1)The successful rate of the ultrasound guided saline enema reduction was 95%,which is higher than that of fluoroscopically guided pneumatic enema reduction. The success rate of fluoroscopically guided pneumatic enema reduction was 89.3%.And the?~2 test shows that P<0.01,the difference is statistically significant.(2)For children aged 0-6 and7-12 months, the success rates of the ultrasound guided saline enema reduction are85.9%and 93.9%,respectively,which are higher than those of fluoroscopically guided pneumatic enema reduction. The success rates of fluoroscopically guided pneumatic enema reduction are 72.6%and 81.4%.And the?~2 test shows that P<0.01,the difference is statistically significant. However, for children more than one year old, there is no significant difference in the success rate of the two reduction methods.(3)The two methods of reduction have a lower rate of perforation and recurrence. The perforation rate and the recurrence rate of fluoroscopically guided pneumatic enema reduction are 0.7‰and 9.5%.The perforation rate and the recurrence rate of the ultrasound guided saline enema reduction are 2.6‰and11.1%.There is no significant difference between the two groups of the perforation rate and recurrence rate in the?~2test.Conclusion:The success rate of the ultrasound guided saline enema reduction is higher than that of fluoroscopically guided pneumatic enema reduction.Compared with the fluoroscopically guided pneumatic enema reduction, the ultrasound guided saline warm enema reduction treatment of children with intussusception has no radiation, high success rate, simple operation, safe and reliable process and so on,which has better advantages. We strongly recommend the application of the ultrasound guided saline warm enema reduction in the treatment of children intussusception.
