The Status Quo And Prospects Of Sino-Russian Energy Cooperation In The New Era

2019 is the 70 th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia.Since the signing of the Sino-Russian Good-Neighborly Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation in 2001,the Sino-Russian strategic partnership of cooperation has deepened and bilateral cooperation has been fully carried out in various fields,and energy cooperation is an important part of it.component.Studying the energy cooperation between China and Russia is of great significance for a comprehensive understanding of the development process and future development direction of Sino-Russian relations.With the continuous expansion and deepening of strategic cooperation between the two countries on the Silk Road on the ice,the “dual alliance” and the development of the Far East,the energy cooperation between the two countries has been given many new connotations.Although China and Russia have considerable advantages in energy cooperation,there are still many problems.China and Russia should follow each other and adhere to the concept of interaction,cooperation and win-win,eliminate differences and contradictions,develop energy cooperation from both horizontal and vertical dimensions,and promote the sustained and stable development of bilateral relations.This paper aims to summarize the new characteristics of Sino-Russian energy cooperation in the new era,and analyze the problems in cooperation,such as the instability of Russia's policy,the deterioration of Russia's economic environment,the geopolitical competition in Northeast Asia,and the "China threat theory" in Russia.At the same time,it proposes to further deepen Sino-Russian energy cooperation,so as to promote the smoother and more comprehensive development of China-Russia strategic partnership of cooperation.
