A company manufactures automotive parts and components products,including S project production line which mainly manufacture automotive electronic wiring harness products.Due to the assembly characteristics of the wiring harness products,the capacity of the S production line fails to meet the standard requirements,which affects the delivery requirements of customers.The assemble process is too complex,and also make efficiency and quality decrease,resulting in waste of money,and at the same time,due to the diversification of product standards lead to inventory and WIP increases,resulting in the occupation of funds.Based on the above problems,the enterprise carries out the production line optimization of S project,improves production efficiency,and achieves lean production status.First of all,through relevant literature review,A company's S project production line manufacturing process status as the research object,through the investigation and analysis of production process,inventory,quality status and material flow,then draw the actual value stream mapping.According to the research of the order information arrangement,in consideration of collection and research analysis of the five factors(Man.Machine.Material.Methodand Environment),to prepare for the next improvement.Secondly,the future value stream mapping is re-designed based on the research of S production line optimization and lean thinking.A series of measures are adopted for the S production line,such as layout optimization,material flowredesign,inventory management,quality defect improvement,tact time optimization,Kanban management and so on.Finally,the application of value stream mapping theory,in A company S project production line optimization,to achieve the reduction of labor intensity,improve production efficiency,to provide experience for enterprise production operation management system.After the improvement plan implement,through direct and indirect benefit analysis ofthe improve results,the achievements show that the value stream mappinganalysis theory is very successful application about S project.At the same time,by introducing lean production management and relevant methods,A Companies are continually improving,the lean production level can be higher.
