The owner's project management runs through the entire lifecycle of project management.The application of BIM in the owner's project management can provide technical support for each phase of the work.On the one hand,it can speed up the construction progress and improve the quality of the project.It can also save investment costs for engineering projects.However,there are some problems in the process of applying BIM,such as how to evaluate the level of the owner's use of BIM in the project? How can apply BIM in the owner's project management to get the maximum benefit? Based on this,this paper proposes the BIM application maturity model.The BIM application maturity model refers to the use of a complete evaluation system to reflect the changes that the owner's level of application of BIM from project to project in project management has undergone.That is,the model can be used to measure the level of BIM applied by the owner.Through the study of BIM application maturity and the owner's project management,the research results of the BIM application maturity model applicable to the owner are obtained,including:1)A BIM application maturity model is proposed,which can evaluate the extent to which the owner applies BIM in project management and provide reference for the owner to apply BIM for the next step of project management.2)Combining the project management maturity model theory and the life cycle of owner-side project management,it was determined that the five target levels of the BIM application maturity model were the preliminary phase,development phase,improvement phase,maturity phase,and optimization phase.The stages represent the different degrees of the owner's application of BIM and are also the target of the maturity model.3)Through the investigation of BIM-related engineering construction personnel in Chongqing and the school's BIM-research professors,questionnaires and visits were conducted to test the credibility of the data collected and the validity tests were conducted.The parameters of the BIM application maturity model include 10 first-level parameters and 34 second-level parameters.The 10 first-level parameters cover all aspects of the owner's project management application BIM,and the second-level parameters are the first-level parameter refinement indicators.4)Apply the analytic hierarchy process to calculate the relative weight of each first-order parameter and the relative weight of the second-level parameter corresponding to each first-level parameter,and using this as the basic system of the BIM application maturity model.5)In the fourth part of the paper,the BIM application maturity model constructed is tested and verified,and the results prove that the model is feasible.At the same time,the BIM application maturity model was applied to the Chongqing Hualongqiao emergency rescue wharf project.The extent to which the owner has applied BIM in the project is assessed and based on the evaluation results of the BIM application maturity model,improvements are proposed for the wharf project.This study provides a reference for the owner to apply BIM in project management from a new perspective,and has a certain guiding significance for improving the project management quality of the owner.
