The Risk Management Study For The T Company Ethiopia Electric Power Engineering Contracting Projects

With China's rapid economic development and the “going global “strategy implementation,more and more enterprises start to undertake different kinds of overseas engineering project,backed by government's support,and their international position are also more and more important.However,the international engineering contracting project has the characteristic of long excusive period,large amount and many uncertain factors.Moreover,the economic situation in abroad is always complicated and it will caused big risk for the contractor in the period of Tendering and Bidding,contract signing and the project implementation phase.How to grasp the risks,carry out the project smoothly,enhance the profit and expand the overseas influences,these are the problems that the enterprise need to face and solve.Firstly,this paper analyzed the research result of the risk management in domestic and overseas.And then,this paper carried on the theory analysis for the international engineering contracting project and risk management,introducing the concepts,significance and characteristic,and discuss the concepts and ways of the three segments for the risk management.Then,this paper use the case study of Ethiopia electric power engineering project for company T,to analyze the existing problems in the project,through the perspective of risk management.The article constructs the project risk management framework from three aspects: risk identification,risk response and risk evaluation.From different risk management perspectives,the project main risks were identified;after that,the main risk list will be evaluated quantitative through AHP ways and be ranked according to the risk weight.For the ordered list,the major bidding risk,exchange risk,contract risk,currency inflation risk and management risk will be analyzed in detail,and find the strategy.For this project proposal,some effective strategies are summarized through analysis the problem.And then,make some suggestions for enhancing the international engineering contracting project risk prevention.It also has the important reference meaning for the risk management for the international engineering contracting project in company T in the future.
