| Recent years,artificial intelligence has reached unprecedented heights in technological development and social attention.The application of artificial intelligence has become increasingly extensive and in-depth in various fields,especially in finance and insurance.The rapid development of artificial intelligence technology is gradually changing the way of human life,and also has an increasingly profound impact on the insurance industry.In June 2017,Ant Financial announced that it will release the technology product "Dingsun Bao",which is the first application of artificial intelligence technology in auto insurance claims verification.“Dingsun Bao” utilizes image recognition technology of AI to verify the damage and determine the maintenance price automatically.This article takes "Dingsun Bao" as a typical study case.Based on the introduction of methods of use and technical principle,this article illustrates the advantage of "Dingsun Bao" in cost savings and efficiency improvement of claims verification;preventing claims leakage,upgrading the road safety and insurance industry.Also analyzes the challenges faced when carrying out “Dingsun Bao”,including that “Dingsun Bao” can't match the requirements of claims verification;relevant parties may not adapt to the image recognition technology and it puts forward new requirements to insurance regulation.By analyzing the reasons of above challenges,this study then puts forward the corresponding suggestions.First,improve the matching degree of “Dingsun Bao” and the requirements of claims verification.Second,promote all the relevant parties to adapt to “Dingsun Bao”.Third,strengthen the regulatory system.Based on analysis of the case,it can be concluded that "Dingsun Bao" is of value to carry out,and the application of artificial intelligence in claims verification has a good prospect.The insurance industry should seize the opportunity of technological innovation,effectively utilize the AI technology and promote its own development. |
