Research On Business Process Re-engineering Of Smart University Library Based On New Generation Service Platform

In the era of big data,cloud computing,Internet of things and artificial intelligence technology have brought about profound changes in the field of library.The transformation of intelligent library has become an inevitable trend.In this context,a new generation of library service platform(LSP)has emerged.The new generation library service platform has solved many problems that have puzzled the library for a long time,such as: paper resources,electronic resources,integrated management of digital resources,integrated management of reader services,open and integrated services,etc.However,the intelligent platform is only a key step in the construction of the intelligent library,and the new platform is still powerful.For example,the function of space management is weak,and the problem of business process change has not been solved.The paper uses literature analysis,comparative analysis,statistical analysis,interview and expert consultation to study the business process reorganization of university smart library.It summarizes and comments on the existing research and practice of library reorganization at home and abroad,and leads to the topic.Then the theory of business process re-engineering(BPR)is applied to guide this research,and the theoretical connotation and the reasons for choosing BPR theory are explained.It is pointed out that BPR theory is more adaptive than any incremental theory under the background of great mutation.In addition,the paper also combs the development process and function of LSP,summarizes the theory and technology of intelligent library,in order to better show the supporting elements of business process re-engineering of smart library.To better understand the existing business mechanism of domestic university library,this study uses the methods of network research,literature analysis and interview to make statistics and research on the business situation of 36 class A "double first-class" university libraries.It is found that the resource construction of domestic university library is developing towards integration,combination and intelligence,and the data service and discipline service are gradually taking the lead.Therefore,while the intelligent service is going into academic libraries,diversified service forms such as human and intelligent recommendation have sprung up.There are also many problems in the business management of domestic university library,including the following five points: immature technology development,lack of communication between institutions,lack of professional ability of librarians,lack of depth of intelligent service,lack of unified business standards.Library business process re-engineering must be aimed at these disadvantages.In the new era,users need not only knowledge units,but also the deep development of knowledge resources.They have high requirements for the efficiency,intelligence and empowerment level of library services.The demand for data services is enhanced and personalized.In this case,the business process redesign of university library should follow four principles: user-oriented principle,benefit principle,simplicity principle and process-controlling principle.Based on the analysis of user needs,business status and principles,this research redesigns the business process of university library on LSP.In terms of resource acquisition,the integration of paper resources and electronic resources procurement process,online acquisition and intelligent acquisition are realized;in terms of data management,a virtuous circle framework of data flow is constructed;in terms of service,a self-innovative service mode is described,which can obtain unlimited expanded services on the basis of the academic ecological chain;in terms of personnel re-engineering,the paper proposes that the new platform completes the transformation process through reshaping business focus and business capacity.In order to ensure the reasonable operation of the process,the corresponding supporting measures in the process are elaborated from four aspects: external guarantee of the alliance,continuous deepening of institutional reform,reconstruction of smart space and guarantee of user contribution.Based on the NLSP platform,this study reorganizes the process of acquisition and editing,data management,service and librarian training of Nanjing University Library,evaluates the implementation effect from three angles of time,efficiency and cost,and expounds the value-added mechanism of the library under the new process.There are still many deficiencies in this study,such as: lack of research on inter-library business processes,lack of field research and first-hand research materials.With the coming out of LSP,it is urgent to redesign the business process of library.Whether the business process system constructed in this study has the ability of sustainable development remains to be tested in practice.The continuous development of technology,the usability evaluation of new process and the new problems after process re-engineering will be the focus of future research.
