Research On The High-Quality Publishing Of University Press In China

The Report of the 19 th National Congress of the CPC pointed out that all the development of China in the new era is a high-quality development,and we should bid farewell to the quantity increase.The CPC Propaganda Department made the evaluation and assessment system of the publishing unit's social benefit.It emphasized that publishing units should put social benefits first.University Press is the publishing unit which was born to serve the teaching and scientific research or to spread excellent culture.Its publishing products have obvious characteristics of educational guidance and academic communication,and have the special attributes of education and knowledge service,so its quality should be highly valued.Forty years since its inception,University Press completed high growth,but there are still many problems and challenges.For example,innovation is insufficient,quality is not high,efficiency is declining,integration is not deep,these should be solved through high-quality development.Based on this,the study will return to the university press' s initial mind,re-examine the lessons learned in the development,and look for the development opportunities of university press against the background of the times.Then the author will analyze the problems that hinder the transformation of university press to high quality development,do a comparative study between Chinese and foreign outstanding university press,to explore how to achieve the whole process quality control from topic selection to distribution.The author would like to propose a high-quality publishing strategy that is not forgetful,future-oriented and based on native university press.The main research methods of this paper are literature analysis,case study and comparative analysis.First of all,on the basis of consulting a large number of documents,summing up the previous research results and views,the author defines the concept of premium publishing and high-quality publishing.Pointing out that premium publishing focus only on products,and high-quality publication focus the high-quality development of the publishing industry.University press need to transform high-quality publishing.Then the author summarizes the development of university press,and affirm the efforts of university press in branding,digitization and "going out".Combining domestic and foreign publishing cases with national policy orientation.It can be seen that the future publishing trends to industry segmentation.The theme publishing is an important work for university press to highlight social benefits.Artificial intelligence technology and digital publishing technology will definitely change the production mode and product form of academic publishing.Physical bookstores into the campus will complement the short board of the offline channels of university press.If we can take advantage of these opportunities,the development of university press will certainly rise to a higher level.But at the moment,the university press is deficient in the depth mining of content,the ability of using technology,the innovation ability of thinking and the profitability,which seriously hinders the deepening of high-quality transformation.This study puts forward four strategies for university press to realize the transformation of high-quality publishing.First,academic publishing shift markets to the masses;Second,optimizing publishing process by artificial intelligence.Third,carrying out knowledge service through the amalgamation of traditional and digital publishing.The last,transformation of sales channel base on the new retail theory.The author wishes to revolutionize the university press' s workflow and business model with new technologies and concepts,then to help university press to seize the opportunity and get out of the dilemma.
