The 5th generation mobile communication technology(5G)is the latest ge-neration cellular mobile communication technology.The targets of 5G are high data rate,reduction of time delay,energy saving,cost reduction,improvement of sy-stem capacity and large-scale equipment connection.Compared with the current4G(4th Generation Wireless System)technology,the peak rate of 5G will incr-ease ten of times,while the end-to-end time delay will be reduced from 10ms of 4G to a few milliseconds of 5G.Because of its powerful communication andbandwidth capabilities,the application of 5G networks will bring into reality all things Internet,smart cities,unmanned aerial vehicle networks,etc.,which are stillat the conceptual stage.This design and implementation is a baseband board in 5G mobile communication base station.The 5G needs the base stations to be more higher the requirements for service dataprocessing and transmission capabi-lities.This thesis designed and implemented baseband board that is the core ofprocessing baseband service data in the base station,as BBU(Base band Unite).The board needs powerful chips to support huge data processing capacity,the high-speed link transmission to decrease time delay,logical control to ensure normal operation,and cost reduction to meet the board's mass production.The thesis has work and finished below tasks:(1)Complete the requirements sorting and the hardware scheme.The board needs a FPGA to process downlink data,2 MPSOCs and 2 FPGAs to process uplink data,to satisfy the capability of supporting 3 100MHz 64TR cells.FPGA is XILINX VU7P,and MPSOC is XILINX ZU15EG,optical module selects 100Gbps,and logic unit is a CPLD.(2)Finish the board circuit design and SI simulation.Such as DDR4 and 100Gbps high-speed link.(3)Finish the realization of logic control code based on CPLD.(4)Finish the function test,system integration test,and the reliability test.The designed hardware board meets the requirements of huge data processi-ng ability and high data transmission.The system runs normally with high relia-bility.Provide the reference for subsequent 5G base station upgrades.
