The development of 5G communication puts forward higher and higher requirements on the transmission performance of optical transceiver.At present,with the development of market demand,100 G optical transceiver has been applied to various data centers.In September 2018,IEEE released the 802.3cd protocol and developed the 100 G Ethernet standard.In fact,the 100 G market has even predated the standard.This paper mainly includes the following five parts.(1)The development of 100 G optical module in the 5G communication era is introduced.(2)The 100 G optical module protocol specification and design standards are introduced,and a design scheme of 100 G QSFP28 CWDM4 optical transceiver module is presented,its working principle is analyzed,and a design scheme of receiving end based on COB technology is proposed on the basis of the original design scheme of receiving end,and the feasibility of the scheme is verified by testing.(3)Optimize the performance of the optical module from the aspects of modulation current,bias current,pre-emphasis and de-emphasis,and give the final test result,which proves that the overall design scheme is feasible.(4)The actual working state of the optical module was simulated through fiber transmission test and power supply noise injection experiment,and its reliability was verified.The results of optimization and testing show that the receiver design based on COB technology is feasible and has good sensitivity and hysteresis,and the sensitivity is better than-11.5dBm in the operating temperature.After the module is optimized,the test results show that the output of the optical module is also excellent,and the transmission performance is relatively stable under high and low temperature tests.The transmission performance is good after the noise injection of 2km fiber and power supply,and its performance indexes meet the protocol standards,which can meet the transmission demand of 100 G Ethernet.
