With the rapid development of the Internet of things,cloud computing,social network and various video services,there is a surge in demand for network capacities,which results in higher requirements for transmission devices in communication networks.The traditional 10 G network is facing enormous challenges.As a result,large-scale 100 G systems are deployed in backbone network,and there are more and more switches and routers with 100 G ports in data centers,the demand for 100 G optical transceiver module has also increased accordingly.At present,the choice of optical interface types can be very different for different types of data transmission services.In the meantime,the interface formats and types of optical modules of various manufactures are often inconsistent,which makes it impossible for optical interfaces between different 100 G modules to intercommunicate.In this situation,the thesis proposes a novel 100 G optical interface protocol converter,it is based on the directly connecting method of two 100 G CFP's CAUI electrical interfaces through a back-to-back way,which can realize the communication between the switches and routers with the different 100 G optical interfaces.Firstly,the thesis introduces the application scenario of the protocol converter,and then completes the overall system design of the protocol converter,especially introduces the CFP optical module in detail.At the same time,the development process of the protocol converter was outlined and completed separately,which include the selection of the iMX287 processor and the establishment of a hardware and software development environment based on ARM-Linux.Then it completes the analysis of requirements of the protocol converter's hardware and software according to the function of the platform.Based on this analysis,the designs of the corresponding parts are completed.The design of the hardware part mainly includes the design of the power supply circuit,the design of the core module iMX287 processor peripheral circuits,the design of the CFP optical module circuit and the design of the data communication module.The design of the software part includes the mode of the 100 G signal transmission of the CFP module and the design of the management interface.At the same time,The WEB-GUI management is designed to monitor and manage the working status of the protocol converter.Finally,set up the test environment of protocol converter,test the timing diagram of the MDIO interface of the CFP optical module,test the WEB-GUI management function,test and analyze the conversion performance of the protocol converter by measuring the optical interface indexes.At last,error-free loopback test for 24 hours through the protocol converter verifies the reliability of the prorocol converter system.
