In order to fully implement the spirit of the 18 th CPC National Congress and promote the cultural industry to become a pillar industry of the national economy,the Ministry of Culture issued the "Ministry of Culture's" 13 th Five-Year Plan "Period Cultural Industry Development Plan" in 2017.In the document,it is emphasized that improving quality and efficiency is the basic idea of the development of the cultural industry.The cultural industry should change its development direction and change from focusing on quantity to quality.Therefore,China's traditional book distribution industry needs to adapt to new changes through transformation and upgrading to create a new situations.With the advent of the Internet era,consumers' consumption patterns and reading habits are becoming more and more modern.Online shopping has become the main consumption method for consumers.Due to the popularity of digital publishing technology,the audience of e-books is getting wider and wider.All these have caused a certain effect and impact on China's traditional book distribution industry,and the survival space of China's traditional book distribution industry has been continuously compressed.The traditional book distribution industry shoulders the heavy responsibility of spreading culture.In the face of the effect and impact of Internet technology,we should actively seek the path of transformation in order to develop healthily.This thesis takes H Province Xinhua Bookstore as an example to explore the path of strategic transformation and upgrading of the traditional book distribution industry,which has certain practical significance.This thesis uses the methods of literature analysis and case studies.On the basis of explaining the relevant theories of transformation and upgrading,this paper discusses the current situation and problems of the traditional book distribution industry in China.The problems existing in the transformation and upgrading,combined with their own experience and knowledge in practical work,put forward the following suggestions for the strategic transformation and upgrading path of the traditional book distribution industry: Innovating the development mode of the industry;improving the service quality level;developing its own brand reputation;improving information technology ability.It is hoped that the research in this article can provide reference for other traditional industries in strategic transformation and upgrading path selection.
