On The Discourse Analysis Of The Weekly Reports Of Rural Rivitalizaiton From Economic Daily

The 19 th national congress of the communist party of China(CPC)has clearly put forward the strategy of comprehensive implementation of the rural revitalization,and it is of far-reaching significance,so it is worthwhile to explore and study the characteristics of the reports on rural revitalization,to find out whether the reports can truly reflect the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy at the grassroots level,and to research on how to properly do reports on “rural revitalization”.In this paper,weekly reports from the mainstream media “Economic daily,the country revitalization”are taken as the research object to look at and investigate in the characteristics and shared patterns of the reports on rural revitalization from the angle of news discourse theory so as to explore the optimal mode of discourse and try to provide some reference and help on improving the quality of the reports on rural revitalization from the mainstream media.The research content includes the following parts: in the first part,analysis is made on the themes of the reports from the macro and micro level.In the second part,the discourse expression skills of the articles in the weekly news are explored from the angle of discourse rhetoric and reporting style.The third part discusses and analyzes the discourse characteristics and discourse patterns of weekly magazines.The fourth part puts forward opinions and suggestions on the problems and defects in the weekly reports based on the analysis above.Through the news discourse analysis of the weekly reports from the Economic Daily on rural revitalization,this study finds that: first,in terms of text structure,the topics reported by the weekly are divided into five themes: rural civilization,industrial prosperity,effective governance,ecological livability and prosperity.In terms of macro structure,the five themes mentioned above are realized through news discourse assembly from three aspects: overview,supplement and evaluation.In terms of micro structure,the vocabulary of the report strengthens the relevant concepts and contents of the above five topics,and establishes a unified cognition of the topic connotation through the consistency and repeatability of local semantics.Secondly,interms of discourse skills,the weekly reports use discourse rhetorical skills such as quotation rhetoric,conceptual metaphor and visual rhetoric to convey the real voice of the grassroots,cater to the national policies on agriculture,rural areas and farmers,arouse readers' homesickness and empathy,and form the reporting style of the combination of various forms of narrative styles and positive promoting features.Thirdly,in terms of discourse characteristics and patterns,the weekly reports are characterized by accuracy,timeliness and political nature,forming a discourse mode with news reports as the main pillars and story and promoting patterns as the supplementing one.Based on the above discourse analysis,this paper holds that the weekly reports from the Economic Daily still have the defects of unbalanced discourse subject,hidden problems in discourse style,and single discourse mode,so it is necessary to make appropriate improvements in diversifying the subjects of the reports,enriching the sources of the reports,enhancing the appropriateness of news genre,and levering the supervision of discourse style.
