Discourse Analysis Of News Report On People's Daily's Rural Revitalization Strategy

The strategy of Rural Revitalization marks that China's rural development will enter a new stage.It has become an important proposition of the mainstream media to promote rural revitalization,and the news report on Rural Revitalization has become a hot spot.This paper takes the news report of the Rural Revitalization Strategy on the People's Daily from January 1,2018 to December 31,2019 as the research sample,and uses content analysis and discourse analysis to explore the relevant reports on the People's Daily in the first stage of the Rural Revitalization Strategy,aiming to clarify the features of the news discourse and the shortcomings of the reports,so as to provide reference for the news reports in the latter two stages of the Rural Revitalization.It also provides reference for news reports on other major strategic issues.This paper mainly launches from the following several parts.The introduction explains the value and significance of this research topic,analyzes the concept of "Rural revitalization strategy" " News Report ",summarizes the research status of news discourse research and rural revitalization news reports,and Besides,it also introduces the research methods and the innovations and deficiencies of this paper.The first chapter presents the overall pattern of the Rural Revitalization Strategy of the People's Daily.In the past two years,the number of reports on the Rural Revitalization Strategy of the People's Daily is large and there are stable reports almost every day.There are various types of reports,mainly news and communication.The coverage is rich,focusing on the key news page.The coverage area is concentrated in the eastern region.The topic of the report is extensive,and the policy report has the advantage,so as to clarify the focus of the rural revitalization strategy.The second chapter makes a systematic and comprehensive analysis of the text of the Rural Revitalization Strategy news report.Based on Van Dijk's discourse analysis theory,it mainlystarts from the micro text angle and the macro news schema.It shows the discourse innovation of Rural revitalization strategy news report on the People's Daily.The third chapter deeply analyzes the rhetorical application and discourse style of the People's Daily's Rural Revitalization Strategy news report,and analyzes its various rhetorical strategies from three aspects of fact rhetoric,emotion rhetoric and metaphor rhetoric.From the serious,solemn and written political power discourse,the rigorous,scientific and plain intellectual elite discourse,and the vivid,lively and colloquial public daily discourse,it shows the distinctive discourse style of the People's Daily when it reports the strategic news of Rural Revitalization Strategy.In chapter four,based on the construction of discourse,People's Daily selectively encodes,processes and transmits the news facts,discusses the knowledge,prospect of the strategy of Rural Revitalization Strategy and the construction of the image of farmers under the Rural Revitalization Strategy,to a certain extent,condenses the social consensus,enhances the social identity,and also founds that in the process of discourse construction,there is a certain deviation in the construction of farmers' main image.The fifth chapter is based on the construction of discourse.People's Daily selectively encodes,processes and transmits news facts,discusses the prospect of Rural Revitalization Strategy and the construction of farmers' image under rural revitalization,and also finds a deviation in the process of discourse construction.The sixth chapter discusses the shortcomings of the Rural Revitalization Strategy news report and how to optimize and improve it.It is found that that the People's Daily's coverage of the Rural Revitalization Strategy is rich in topics and has some innovations in discourse system,but there are still some shortcomings,such as paying attention to conference news,not profound policy interpretation;neglecting the relevant subjects,lacking the status of farmers' subjectivity;imbalance of the proportion of newspapers and Taoism,one-sided problems;too much text,single presentation and so on Sufficient,and put forward corresponding strategies to improve the report and publicity of the mainstream media to better promote the Rural Revitalization.The Rural Revitalization Strategy is a long-term and systematic process.The news report of the Rural Revitalization Strategy must also present the diachronic characteristics.On the premise of ensuring the information transmission,we should do a good job in the role of public opinion propaganda and problem-solving,and play the dominant role of the mainstream media in China.
