With the advent of the social information age,there have been more and more information exchange occasions.LED video display has been widely used in many fields such an industry,commerce and transportation due to its excellent performance.The rapid popularization of network technology provides a reliable medium for the long-distance transmission of multimedia information.The display quality of LED full color screen has been significantly improved because of the mature technology of blue LED.In recent years,the application fields of LED large screen have been gradually expanded,and the market demand is also growing year by year.In the thesis,the architecture and working methods of the mainstream control system in the market is studied.And the overall design scheme of the transmission control system based on HDMI interface,FPGA control and Gigabit Ethernet is proposed.The format of source data is set at 1360×768@60Hz.The FPGA control technology and video processing technology in the system have been researched and analyzed.Secondly,it is determined that Sparten6-FPGA is used as the core control chip,and the data processing and transmission scheme is designed according to the requirements.The interfaces and protocols involved in the scheme are studied,including HDMI interface for obtaining data source information,UART interface for transmitting control parameters,DDR3 SDRAM memory for data buffering and Gigabit Ethernet for long-distance data transmission.The working principle of the related interface and transmission protocol are studied in depth,and the corresponding configuration circuit is reasonably selected.Thirdly,in order to meet the user's control requirements for LED display,a friendly interaction software is designed by VC++.The user can use this software to select the relevant parameters of the LED display control,and send the display control parameters to the transmitting system by the use of serial communication method.The transmitting system performs relevant operations on the video data.Then,according to the requirements in the scheme,each module in the transmission control system is designed from the top down,mainly including serial communication module,HDMI video receiving module,video format conversion module,video image intercepting module,DDR memory controller module and Gigabit Ethernet transmission module.The functional design and simulation of each module is completed,and the simulation results show that each module can meet the design requirements.Finally,based on the simulation results,the experimental test environment is built.The video data processing part and the Gigabit Ethernet transmission part in the system are tested separately.The test results show that the data transmission and processing of the video source can be realized.The system has a good application value.The video processing and transmission scheme based on HDMI interface proposed in this paper is feasible.
